Up until yesterday, this was the best little coffee percolator ever! Then I went to make my coffee as usual and plugged it in...but no coffee! It didn't even heat up the water! Looks like you really do get what you pay for :-(
I still like using a percolator as they make superior coffee but next time, I'll invest the $$$ for a good one!

I bought this product in Jan. 2006. I had it for 3 days & when I went to serve me coffee. It was not working, so of course I went on line w/Amzon.com. Found out what I needed to return the item(by the way it was the BEST RETURN I have ever done) so. easy.
No complications so I will highly recommended Amazon. com to all my friends. Oh , I received another one, & so far its been great.

Initially I was pleased with the product until it just stopped working about a week and a half later. I have returned the product for a refund.

Actually, the re-perking is a good feature for this little pot in that I use it to brew a loose tea and herbs. The plastic is stable and metal parts tend to leach metal in the tea if you use a traditional perculator. Steeping the tea (actually Yerba Mate) with other herbs (Pau d' Arco, Stevia, Gota Kola, and peppermint and Cinnimon) works really well. The tea is fragrent and very nice.

These perculators do have a design flaw in the bottom. There is a hole which is designed as a vent and it will suck water up into the bottom of the electronics. This is what kills these pots so quickly. I put mine up on a couple of chop sticks laid on their sides and that keeps the bottom out of the water. Now there may be some infant mortality in some of these units, but for the price, they work pretty well. Once you know how to get around the design flaw, it has served pretty well. If they put a couple of feet on the bottom of the units then they would survive better. The feet only need to be a few millimeters high, the width of a chop stick would suffice. Just keep the pot as dry as possible.

This was too small for me. Only made about 2 big mugs of coffee at one time.

This is a good coffee pot for the price I paid. The only Thing I don't like is that it will percolate again if you don't if you don't unplug it.

You get what you pay for, cheap is not always better. Using the product to heat water the percolator feature brews coffee about as good as cold water.

the percolators i have experienced in the past was nothing like this one it has made my clean up more then ever before don't like it at all!

I Love this coffee percolator. I take it to Las Vegas, where I stay for a week or more at a time. For the cost of coffee grounds $5.00 plus cream and sugar $4.00 for a week. I could have only bought two (2) cups of coffee at the Casino Hotels. Yes, coffee is free on the casino floor. But, when I wake up in the morning, it takes me a couple of cups of coffee before I want the World to see me! This makes awesome coffee, and I have even taken it to short overnight hotel stays for meetings and such too. Of course, some of these hotels have coffee makers, but just incase some don't, I'm protected.

It is super light weight (great for packing in your suitcase while flying!) It keeps the coffee Hot, not just warm and brews a full 8 cups in about 7 minutes. I simply love it, PLUS it was just $13 with shipping!

It's NOT for fancy home or special ocasion gathering, but it's good and handy travel Percolator for family. Simple and safe. Price very low, so if it brakes in a few months or in a year, I don't care - one visit to restoran costs me more. Works good so far - boils water and makes coffee. Sertanly worth the money.
