4.0 out of 5 stars i like this knife!
I got this knife for $6.00 online, it's a great buy. it's labled as a Tomahawk military knife, but it's not designed for tactical combat. its mostly a hunting or survival knife. the saw isnt the best for cutting wood but it works as a bone saw. both sides of the knife are sharpened but it doesnt come very sharp. it has pretty good steel and its pretty stout. the sheath is...

Do I know that decent survival knife not very often comes with the price $[...]? Yes I do. But HK-6001 matched several attractive parameters: right size; double serrated (better than many) saw; very good sheath design with multiple attachment options; fully water insensitive handle and sheath. Plastic on handle was too hard on touch (fragile?) but with $[...] as not a big risk I purchased one despite my intuitive skepticism regarding its way too fancy name. At home I opened the handle unscrewing pommel to find that it is not a full-tang, but instead inch deep in the handle back of the blade is welded to the metal extension with the thread hosting butt tightening handle together. Welding point immediately brought some concerns, so I put the knife to an innocent test -- throwing it in a dead tree. It survived 4 attempts, and after that was broken after hitting the snag by the butt. Welding did not survive, handle turned 10 degrees left, plastic cracked because of deformation with several pieces falling apart behind the bolster. Conclusion: if I used it only by hand it is possible this knife could serve me for years, but it is not a reliable survival tool. I write it on the hope that MTech reconsiders design: with real full-tang and better nonbreakable plastic handle I would be glad to buy one for twice higher price.

I got this knife for $6.00 online, it's a great buy. it's labled as a Tomahawk military knife, but it's not designed for tactical combat. its mostly a hunting or survival knife. the saw isnt the best for cutting wood but it works as a bone saw. both sides of the knife are sharpened but it doesnt come very sharp. it has pretty good steel and its pretty stout. the sheath is fantastic, it's a hard plastic that works well. it has a good easy opening system on the belt loop and the part that holds the knife. the handle is solid and can be used as a hammer. overall this is a great knife. i recomend it to anyone. if your looking for a tactical fighting knife this isn't it, but it's pretty scary if you were to need to fight with it. go ahead and buy it.

is the best knife in the world it is 12 inches of very hevy duty metal the blade is black as you can see.it is pretty heavy but that is good if you are wanting to chop brush or survive in the wilderness and if you got in a knife fight this would scare the living crap out of somebody. the sheath is amazing it is plastic so that means the knife wont go through. I hope this helped you and dont listen to those people who dont like it they are retarded but great buy would recemend to anyone.

When I bought this I was sceptical but I just got it and so far i'm very impressed! The blade came very dull but sharpened up pretty good, the sheath is awesome!!! The knife is a lot bigger than I thought but that's not a bad thing at all at least not for me. Over all the knife is great especially for the money.

Being a former Marine I demand a lot out of a knife. This knife itself has served me well in the Colorado wilderness and would recommend for any hunter/camper. The sheath is a little Jinky and definatly not the best with its weird plastic lock to keep the blade in, but all in all for the price this is a very nice blade that can take care of most needs that you may have

Heavy with a good strong and solid handle. Nice clean double sided edged blade. Saw is ok more then enough to cut through wood over all great deal for the price.

This is an impressive and sharp looking side bar to any
Survivorlist's belt. Any Western Ninja would be proud to have it
on their person during back country treks or studio takes.
Jim Bo would approve of it's basic traditional styling.
Not recommended for skinning deer or throwing over 50 ft.

Don't be misled, this isn't a high dollar precision knife. It is, essentially, a throw away. But with the price, you can't ask for a better blade. No problems with it and it actually looks and feels better than the pic leads you to believe.

Looks Awesome!!! Just hope you don't run into a stick of Butter in the Kitchen! Won't cut for @$#!.
Sheath is adequate for the Chinese Army. I tried to put another knife in the sheath and it started to make a brittle cracking noises.
It also has a cool KMART Shoe Lace hanging off of it. No Type-3 Nylon here! A Twelve year old would think he was King @$#! if he owned one!
A Really Nice Chunk of Steel!
