1.0 out of 5 stars Very slow card!, September 28, 2009

This review is from: 8GB Elite Pro Series High-Performance CompactFlash Memory Card (Personal Computers)
I use a Canon 50D. Bought one of these 3 days ago but didn't get to use it until yesterday.

I was taking pics of a motorsport event and was shooting high speed continuous quite a bit. My older SanDisk Extreme III 4GIG cards were the first to go and after finishing 8gigs, switched on to my brand spanking new kingston.

After owning a few pendrives from the company and also RAM memory chips, i had high hopes...

but this card was pure disaster...

It was far too slow for the type of shooting i was doing and was struggling even with full size jpegs! Had i shot RAW i would have not been able to keep up at all...

Personally, i will never buy any product from this brand until this experience is fresh in my mind.

dont be fooled by the lower price and the brand name. This card is really really slow!

If you're not shooting fast paced events with bursts, and have a small MP camera and want storage for the lowest cost... this card can't be too bad... If not, save your money and get a Sandisk or Lexar!
