for those experiencing inflammation in the shoulder girdle this does the job. stays cold for 30-60 minutes. I use it after workouts especially when doing overhead movements and it covers the whole shoulder including the scapula.

As a physical therapist I was looking for a quality ice pack for my clinic and/or to recommend to patients with any number of should conditions. This is not as smooth as in the picture. Since there are ice packs in the wrap, they don't conform to your shoulder girdle as well. Usually patients don't have symptoms below or at the elbow thus this wrap isn't beneficial. It is difficult to ice common sore areas such as, the posterior and lateral aspect of the shoulder. The only plus is that the patient would be able to put this on themselves with their other arm. This is the shoulder wrap that I would recommend. Elasto Gel Shoulder Sleeve Ice & Hot Wrap (LARGE/X-LARGE. It isn't perfect but I would give it 4 stars. Check the product page for my review.

I suffer from a herniated disc in my C6 & C7 area. This is easy to wear, easy to handle and wonderfully priced. Too bad you can't remove the lower arm section for more flexibility. Also, refrain from wearing white clothes with this - it tends to leave slight blue stains. Other than that, this is a great way to ice up and still move around and get things done.

This is a good, quick and convenient alternative in place of ice bags for getting a cold wrap on a player's shoulder and elbow.

I bought this ice wrap because it was a good price at the time. However, it does not conform to your shoulder because of the individual ice pillows. I recommend buying a gel type ice wrap for your shoulder, these remain flexible at all times. You also have to wear a shirt when you do ice therapy for this wrap because without it you feel like your going to get an ice burn, and its just way too cold. With my gel ice wrap i can do therapy without a shirt on and it remains comfortable. if your looking for a cheap shoulder ice wrap i recommend buying the "Smart Temp" shoulder ice wrap, its not the best, but better then this.

I bought this shoulder ice wrap for my son he is 14 years old and it does its job is easy to use ,but do not expect to recieved the ice wrap matching the color it has in the picture, the one that was sent to me is dark blue and it looks cheapy than the one in the picture also does not have logo of any company, I think its pricey for the quality.

This product gets very very cold and hard. Only draw back is that is really does not conform to your shoulder. It works better if you let it defrost a little before using it.

I bought this ice wrap for my younger brother who is a high school pitcher, and he loves it! He uses it almost every other day and sometimes twice a day, usually after a game and it has become quite an arm saver I guess. I have never used it but what I hear from my brother, it is the best wrap he has ever used and trust me, he has used plenty. It has held up great considering how much it has been used and it holds a consistent cold for a good couple of hours. So overall I am very happy with the wrap but my brother is even happier!

Bought this for my son: high school sophomore paying football & baseball. Adjust well out of the box before it's frozen. When it freezes more like ice than like the newer gel packs. Once frozen we found it hard to get it to mold to all the areas that needed the cold. He's still using it but it's not as effective as I had hoped. I'm looking for a similar design that uses gels instead.

This is one of the best purchase I made.
I have a couple of things that I like about this item.

1. I can drive while icing.
2. The ice stays cold for a long time!

Icing must be done after training.
However, I have to drive back home for an hour after training,
and by the time I get home, I think it is kinda too late for icing.

The icing material I used to use before this product was not designed for
shoulders so while driving it kept sliding down. So it is not only annoying but
also dangerous.

Now I can drive safely without getting annoyed by the ice pack sliding down the arm!

Second. This ice pack stays cold more than 12 hours easily. Of course I keep it in
a cooler (not a good one) until I use it. I leave my house for work at 8am with
the this item in a cooler and I use it after 8:30pm after training!
Still icy cold.
