5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
I just installed my screen two days ago. Because of the size, I did need another person to help hold it. It took us less than 5 minutes to install it. The screen movement is very slow but still extended in less than a minute. The slow movement made it very easy for me to stop at the desired location. I am using a Mitsubishi HC1500 projector (HD). 1.0 out of 5 stars The screen moving up and down at its own will
I have returned the screen because of the malfunction. It only comes with the remote control and does not include the wired wall-mount control ($50 + shipping if purchase from elitescreen.com). When I first set it up and connected it with power, without touching any button on the remote control, the screen started moving down for a few seconds, then going back up for a...

The picture is awesome and exceeds my expectations. I inquired about other screens at a nationally owned theater store. In order to get the same features as this screen (remote, trigger, etc), it was going to cost around $1000. The money that I saved is helping pay for all of the beer that my neighbors are now drinking while watching the games!

The shipment was quick and arrived defect free.

My only complaint is that it took me a lot of searching to figure out how to connect the trigger. The trigger function allows the screen to automatically drop/rise when the projector is powered on/off. The included trigger connects into the screen. In order to connect it into a trigger capable LCD projector, you only need to use two wires from a Cat 5 cable (the cable has to be purchased separately). Those two wires can be connected in to a 1/8" Mini Stereo Phone Plug (which can be purchased at a store that sells radio equipment).

Update on 8/11/09:
The trigger doesn't work 100% of the time. So I disconnected it and just leave the screen down. I do not have the screen mounted in a location where it needs to be up.

I have returned the screen because of the malfunction. It only comes with the remote control and does not include the wired wall-mount control ($50 + shipping if purchase from elitescreen.com). When I first set it up and connected it with power, without touching any button on the remote control, the screen started moving down for a few seconds, then going back up for a few seconds, then moving down again, and then moving up again, .... It keeps doing that at its own will for no reason and I have no ways of making it to stop. Removed batteries from the remote control did not help. At a point, the screen started to tilt and eventually stuck in the middle of the operation.

If your looking for a screen for your HD projector, this is perfect and priced right. I priced this at other sites and came back here. I saw it for as much $499 on other sites. The electric motion is quiet and steady. The remote range leaves a little bit to be desired. You have to be within about 25 feet of the screen for the remote to work. Besides that the unit went up easy and works great. Oh, it looks great with the HD projector also.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great screen., October 18, 2008
This review is from: Elitescreens 100" Electric Screen (Electronics)
This is a great screen for the price looks and works great...some buyers have had problems mostly due to shipping damages (mine arrived with some box damage but the contents were fine).replaced a cheapo pull down screen and happy I did.only flaw very minor is that my harmony remote would activate the screen when selecting the old s-vhs deck to watch a tape with on the tv...the IR codes must have been similar for turning on the vcr and rolling the screen down, but you could hardwire the screen and block the sensor or send the vcr to the graveyard which is what i did.

2.0 out of 5 stars Screen Trigger, August 17, 2008
This review is from: Elitescreens 100" Electric Screen (Electronics)
Screen quality is excellant but the trigger function needs improvement. Using one of the reviews posted on the customer comments I tried using a CAT5/6 cable to connect the screen to my projector (Mistubishi 5000U). The screen motor makes a clicking sound when I power on my projector but does not drop down.
Also, I did not get the wall unit switch as mentioned in the product description. Amazon although reduced the cost fractionally to match the current cost of the screen, they still haven't sent me a new switch as communicated by the Amazon representative.

I received my screen 01/24/08 it came very quick. It's what I hoped for, but more! I had to go on elite's website to find out if this was a 16x9 screen before I purchased it, it is. Getting it up and operational was a snap! The motor is pretty quiet and smooth. This was my first time ordering from amazon and I was very impressed! Elite and amazon exceeded my expectations!

great job

I have owned this screen for well over a year now. It has been shipped overseas to Iraq and back. It has also been though countless sandstorms as well as 120+ degree temperatures. Crystal clear images and reflection of light. By far the best projector screen for the money. It does not get any better than this.

Pros:
Ease of use
Works well
Extremely well built
Looks Great
Great Value

Cons:
Could be a little bit faster

5.0 out of 5 stars Projector Screen, June 9, 2009

Very happy with this product. One thing you need to plan for is a ceiling electrical outlet... unless you want an extention cord hanging down from your screen. Projector image is clear and bright on the screen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely outstanding..., May 8, 2009
This review is from: Elitescreens 100" Electric Screen (Electronics)
Many months of research went into putting my home theater together. I knew that my projector and screen would be the biggest purchase. However, patience paid off and I was able to find a screen that most importantly fit into my budget and was the most practical. This Elite screen I purchased through Amazon turned out to be more than I expected in a moderately priced screen. The picture quality is breathtaking and the functionality is awesome. When I click the projector on and see the screen coming down out of the ceiling is unexplainable knowing how much work went into it.
Amazon was simply awesome to work with, the screen was at my door in 4 days with no damage. I tell folks about Amazon all the time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Product for a great price, June 12, 2008

I purchased this screen from amazon for $250, a far cry from the $350-$450 that others were selling it for. It arrived in 5 days and I was eager to put it up. I will agree that it can be put up in 5-10 minutes, but it's a two person job because of the length of the product. Once it was up, the remote brought it down smoothly and quietly - albeit, slowly. The picture from my Infocus IN72 (480p) was much better than expected. I have a controlled lighting environment, which does help.

Two minor issues: 1) The power cord doesn't reach the outlets on the floor (I hung it from a 10 foot ceiling), which just means I need to install a power box in the ceiling. 2) My box only came with the IR remote. No 3 way wall switch which was mentioned in the description from Amazon. It should be noted, Amazon did refund 15% to cover the cost of the 3 way switch so I could purchase it separately. They also price adjusted by $10 because the price changed within 30 days. So, $200 out the warehouse -- fantastic deal!

EDIT: This is also RF, not just IR. So, those with Harmony remotes that do RF can take advantage of it.
