I bought this screen along with the Optoma HD20 High Definition 1080p DLP Home Theater Projector (Grey) for my home theater and it shows a fabulous picture.Out of the box it was well assembled and the only thing required of me were my own mounting screws. I was pleased to see an RF and IR remote included for operating the screen as well as the optional wall mount switch with an optional 12V toggle. Installation was simple, my friend and I mounted it to wall studs and finished in about 30 minutes. Like I said, all you need to buy are your choice of mounting screws as the case ships fully assembled and ready to mount. It takes about 40 seconds for the screen to completely lower or raise up. This is by design since this isn't a tensioned screen. If the motor were too fast, the screen might get folded up during rolling and cause a nasty crease or wrinkle like a window shade that went up too fast. The slow retraction makes sure this doesn't happen. This doesn't bother me anyway because it takes me longer than that to warm up the projector and find a Blu-Ray to watch. The electric motor is very quiet too as a bonus. The quality of the screen material was astounding. I had heard some users having wrinkled screens but my screen turned out nice and smooth. Colors and blacks turn out nicely on it when watching movies. Let me tell you also, 150 inches of real-estate looks flat-out beautiful. Words cannot describe it. I have to give this a 5-star rating because it exceeded what my original expectations were and has really enhanced my home theater experience for a really good price. Good luck.

This screen is an amazing bargain, and truly puts the "theater" in home theater. We were trying to decide between the 100" and the 120". If your room can manage the 120", go for it. It's fantastic. This is solid and easy to install, and the opening mechanism feels stable and smooth. The material is even, no creases or waves, and colors show up crisply without any issues. One great thing to note is that this screen is compatible with the Logitech Harmony One Universal Remote with Color Touch Screen, so you can set up your Harmony remote to automatically open your screen when you turn everything on. If you don't have a Harmony Remote, there's also an optional wireless trigger out that you can get from Elite Screens and hook up to your projector, so that when you turn your projector on, it sends a signal to the screen that opens it. You can get more expensive screens with tension, higher gains, or made of acoustic mesh so that your speakers can go right behind it, but this is a perfect entry-level price that does not feel or look entry-level at all.

Great Screen Excellent Price,
This review is from: Elite Screens VMAX120XWH2-E24 VMAX2 Electric Projection Screen (120-Inch 16:9 Aspect Ratio) (24-Inch Drop) (Personal Computers)
I initiatly spent three weeks looking for the perfect screen in my budget(under $400). I wanted an electric screen with a size of atleast 92". After looking around, I found that with my budget it would be very tough to find something to my liking. I then found the Elite V-Max. It boasts a huge 101" 16:9 screen, perfect for HDTV. At the price it was going for, I could not resist. I quickly ordered and three days later it was at my door. When I saw it for the first time I couldn't belive how long it was. The box it was shipped in had to be over 100"(8.3ft) long. I did not like the way it was package it the box. There were just four little peices of styfo foam supporting the screen. The product did arrive in great shape, so that might be sufficent enough. Once I had the product out of box, I quickly mounted it on the wall of my new home theater room. This screen is very heavy and ackward, so a second person is a must. The wiring for the screen is very simple. A five foot single wire connects to the top right of the metal casing with a simple locking connector. The controller box then plugs into that and has about a seven foot cord to plug into the wall. The screen takes about thirty seconds to come fully down, but most projectors take about a minute to warm up, so this is not a problem. There is also a way to adjust the screen stopping distance, but I have not had to use it. The 18" black header is also nice so you don't get destracted to the ceiling. The fabric of the screen also seems to be made of a nice thick high quality material, which can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Some things to consider with this large of screen is the size of it. The screen width itself is 91" wide. You do need a good size wall to place it on. The projector also needs to go back a little further. Iam using an Infocus IN74 EX projector and it needs to be mounted about sixteen feet back for it to fill the whole screen. Some other projects may require twelve to eighteen feet to fill the whole screen. It is also very heavy, so the mounts need to be screwed into the studs, not just drywall. It comes with two remotes, one RF and one IR, so this is a definate plus. They seem very cheap and flimsy, so I do not use them. I have a learing universal remote, so I use that instead. I would recomend doing the same. Overall, I love this screen! I am very impressed with the build and quality. The price is also unbeatable. They could ask much more for this screen and I would buy it again. I give this screen two thumbs up and the remote controlls a thumbs down. If you are looking for a great screen on a budget, this is the screen for you.

This projection screen increased the image quality considerably as well as the home theater experience. You would not believe how much of a jump in quality it is from going from a white dry painted wall to this 150 inch screen! Took about 45 minutes to install. I am very satisfied with my purchase and this product.

This screen is very poorly made. I purchased one and looks great at first, but when I tried to use it, the nightmare began. The up and down stops did not work so the motor would stop at unpredictable locations. The remote control did not work at all, in fact the internal parts were loose and rattling. The manual control box cover is not designed to fasten tightly on the base, so it just pops off when it is hadled. The literature that accompanies the screen is very brief, hardly descriptive, and premature to be distributed with production units.I called the manufacturer for help with this, before trying to return it, because shipping is expensive for these large items. To make a long story short, they first sent me a new remote, it didn't work either. They sent me instructions to set the up and down stops myself, they didn't work either. Then a new manual control box, the wrong one. I got a new unit, the screen was all wrinkled. Speaking with customer service, they were helpful but limited in capacity. A month later I bought a different screen. The screen is trouble.

This review is from: Elite Screens VMAX135UWH2-E24 Electric Projection Screen (135-Inch 16:9 AR)(24-Inch Drop) (Office Product)
My first projector screen and it's HUGE. Actually, its just the right size to fit within our Ikea entertainment center and sitting 15' back I really didn't need anything bigger than this. It arrived without any damage which was a surprise due to its length. It got a white glove style delivery which I guess helped. We opened and inspected it before the delivery guys left. Installation was ok but it took two of us. The motor is very quiet and the remote control operates it with ease. It actually comes with a manual switch, an IR remote and a RF remote so you can choose which to use. The picture quality (used in conjunction with our 1080p 3D Optoma projector) is excellent. There are two up/down stop points which can be set to adjust the screen drop and rise points. We had to call Elite to get info on this as it is not mentioned in the instructions.

I was hesitant to buy this screen versus one with 24" header because I was concerned it would be too high in the room (9 foot ceiling). It fits perfect from ceiling to about 2.5 feet above the floor. This size will be slightly big for an 8-foot ceiling, so the perfect size if you like to go all out.The remotes are a bit weak with stock batteries. You are get both an IR (requires line of site) and an RF model. Lots of mounting hardware. I mounted to wall about 3" below ceiling on a slight angle -- looks great. You will need a space on the right side of the screen for the wall-mount control and power cord. You can leave these out of reach if needed, but I like wired option in general. Screen arrived double boxed with no damage. I met the delivery guy in the street as he was staring in the back of his truck for a few minutes on delivery day. It is a one-person carry, but it is awkward to move around in the box, which is almost 10 feet long. I like this one so much in the family room I'm going to get another one for the home office. This is the perfect beginner screen and price if you aren't ready to commit to $2000 for a tensioned model. It is also really impressive to wheel down in front of a 50" plasma.
