I had one of these bags for approximately 4 years. I used it on many of my Reservist weekends in the field. The bag compacts very nicely (fits in one hand) and keeps you warm. It was a very well made bag, even went through a year long deployment to Iraq with me. The zipper finaly gave out on me after the many years of use. I will buy another one of these great bags.

not too cold, not too hot. The 20 degree bag is just right for me. It's compact, tough, and ITS GREEN! I was hesitant to buy a new bag after using the same one for nearly a decade, but this product is clearly an example of "you get what you pay for". My only regret is not buying one while I was active duty. A bag this compact would have allowed me to carry many more essential items like medical supplies or MRE's.

So I bought this bag for my trips hopping around Army FOB's in Afghanistan. The bag is really small and lightweight so it makes it easy to carry around. It has one loop on the top of the bag to clip it to my backpack but I wish it had one on the bottom also. I was still able to tie it to my back pack.

When I unrolled the bag I saw how thin it was and I was really concerned. It turned out I was right I used the bag last night and I froze! I have a backpack because I stay in buildings or tents on these army bases. Carrying around a bunch of blankets is not practical so I use a sleeping bag. The building I stayed in last night had no heat and I was cold as anything. It got nowhere near that advertised -5C so I would not want anyone to buy this and use it outdoors and be stuck in a bad situation.

When I woke up in the morning I looked at all the tags on the bag because I was convinced somehow the wrong bag was sent to me but no it says recon 3 all over the tags.

The bag does roll back up pretty easy into its compression bag which is the only reason I didn't give it 2 stars. This will be useful to me when it gets warmer but then again I could have bought a cheaper bag if I was going to use it for just that.
