I never thought I would be so enthusiastic about guitar strings to actually write a review on them. But these strings are absolutely outstanding. In the past I've been using Ernie Ball, Boomer and a few random other guitar strings... mainly Ernie Balls though. I was sick and tired of stringing up my guitar and not even getting a weeks worth of play out of them before they started oxidizing. Sometimes i had the highest three strings oxidizing after one lengthy jam session. I'd find myself saying, "Yes I played fairly intensely for several hours... but really???? I just put these strings on here! I don't sweat that much, lol." After no more than a month with those strings, i would have to replace them because they were already way too rusty and mucky to play comfortably.

Then just two months ago I gave Elixir strings a go.... I am still using those same strings and there isn't a bit of rust anywhere on any of the strings. And they sound great!! I have to say that again, They sound GREAT after two months of playing every day at least 2-3 hours a day! Just last night I was playing through a bunch of Tool songs with the album tracks playing on my computer... the tone was so spot on, at times my guitar blended perfectly with the audio track. It just solidified my belief that these strings are amazing. I'm in love. I really am. And they stay in tune really well. I often found with other strings I would always have to re-tune every time i picked up my guitar, sometimes even a few times during play. With these strings I find myself tuning considerably less frequently. I still have to adjust a couple strings every now and then... but that's completely natural.

The only negative I would bring up is that they are almost a little.... too bright when you first put them on. Even that almost feels like an unfair thing to say as a negative. The tone is still awesome, but i felt like after heavy use, the tone kind of meandered closer to what I like.

These strings feel great too. Really fast and smooth. I found myself wanting to play more things that had slides in the riffs just to i could feel the strings more.

Basically, long story short...

Great Feel
Long Life (Seriously... no joke)
They even look cool... always nice and clean =)

Buy them, see for yourself. I know I'm going to get another set to put on my other guitar very soon.

These are the best strings ever. I've tried almost every string on the market, and these are by far my favorite. They sound great and last forever. Believe the hype...they really DO last FAR longer than any other strings, and they sound great while doing it.

Many other strings will sound great for a short while, but as soon as they get "gunked up", they lose any brilliance and tone, and become dead sounding. Not these. They will sound great for the life of the string. In fact, the only way I know to change them eventually is not because they stop sounding good (which they don't), but because I'll start having intonation problems and I know the strings need to be changed. Normal wear and tear does that, but these strings last SO long.

I've tried the polyweb strings from Elixir as well, but I didn't like those at all. To me, they didn't FEEL right. Sticky or something (not like your fingers stick to the strings, but like you could tell they were coated). With the Nanowebs, they sound AND feel like regular strings, but last forever. The only string I'll use.

terrible store. i purchased the custom light (9-46), they sent the regular light (10-46). besides, it took over 9 days to be delivered. terrible experience. luckly, I use this gauge on other guitars. the string tone and durability beyond comparison.
