The double skewer design is great. The tines are nice and long, the pointy bits are good and sharp and go through everything I tried them on. The problem is the slippery round handle. You have to grip the food itself to turn the skewer over. If you're doing tomatoes, you're going to wreck one, and if you're doing chicken you just touched raw meat with the tongs and have to go clean them. It would be better if the handle had a flattened end so you could grip that for turning. My other single metal skewers have a ring-shaped end which you can grab easily for turning.

The main problem I have when making kabobs is when i go to turn them, half ot the stuff on the skewer spins and half doesn't so part of the food burns and part doesn't cook evenly. This solves that problem quite nicely. I wish the handles were a little longer but otherwise I am very happy. They are well made too and worth the extra money.

These had mostly everything I sought after in a set of BBQ skewers--the double-prongs, the slider bar to remove food, the longer length, stainless steel construction. The wooden handles on other skewers look great and are easier to handle, but I felt I'd burn them to a crisp long before I had gotten my use out of them; so these were more practical and long lasting. I bought 2 sets and used them already for chunks of Vidalia onions grilled on the BBQ. The onions threaded easily and stayed put. I am looking forward to using these all summer long. Come nicely boxed for gift giving as well.

These are a cost-effective answer to the problem of pieces of meat or vegetables not turning properly during the grilling process. When you turn the skewer, everything turns with it. Brilliant!

A must have for serious grilling. The double prong enables total control while turning your food on the grill. I was tired of free spinning food on my single prong skewers, this has eliminated all the hassle. I spray the skewers with Pam before adding meat and veggies.. Clean up is easy but be careful the handle does become hot during cooking.

I am a convert. Having used bamboo, and other one prong metal skewers - I can now say "never again". I have finally found my dream skewer. Although these aren't cheap they were well worth the money, and I plan on buying many more to fulfill my need to skewer delicious chunks of tasty morsels. The double prong holds the food wonderfully, so there's no need to worry about anything spinning as you turn, everything stays still and gets equal grill time. They are also long enough for a really nice sized portion of kabob. It also has a little disc that helps to remove the tastiness from the skewer, with nubs on the lower end of the skewer so they won't detach. I really love these skewers, and would recommend them to anyone who does a lot of kabob grilling.

These are well designed. They are sturdy and have a sharp point for easy piercing. All stainless, so they go in the dishwasher. They even have a metal disk that helps slide the food off the skewer. I would purchase again. They work well even on asymetrical items like jumbo shrimp.

Finally, a way to keep shrimp, etc on the spit!! Two tongs work miracles...

We were tired of the food sliding around on our regular skewers when we tried to turn them. So we ordered a set of these and they worked perfectly. The food stayed in place. Liked them so much we ordered a second set. We just ordered a third set so that we can fill the grill with skewers.

As described. This is the second set of skewers I have bought recently. At our summer home, we grill-out most every night. These skewers will hold alot of food and easy to turn them over. Now that were are in our Florida home, I needed more of the same. Thus...........order more! Might seem pricy but when you use them, you'll see that they are worth it.
