Having purchased a TON of nursing bra's--in all styles and prices-- while still pregnant, I can say without reservation that this one is the best.

Being large busted, but relatively small around (am normally a 32E, but am currently a 36E), it's very difficult to find bra's that provide adequate support, are comfortable, and that don't look like a granny-brasiere. Further, it's pretty much impossible to find a soft cup/non-underwire that does all of the above.

This bra is supportive, comfortable, pretty (the lace in the cleavage really does look like a cami under tops) and your breasts don't look like 'uni-boob.' One tip for new nursing moms: definitely don't use underwire bra's. I made that mistake at first (for the support) and got recurring mastitis--not fun AT ALL.

I got the Motherhood Maternity version (no longer available) of this bra 2 years ago and loved it then. I was a new mom and had no clue as to how to buy a maternity bra and kind of bumbled my way through it. I have always liked and only use wireless bras, and after reading that they were suggested for nursing moms, I was actually shocked that there weren't more wireless nursing bras on the market. Needless to say, I bought a whole range of wireless bras. I realized that padded bras made nursing more difficult because the cups flip back up to try to hold their shape (not helpful when you're trying to nurse!). Sometimes the padded bras are also a little too stiff and chafe if you aren't using breast pads. Most of the bras use a plastic piece on either side (under the armpit) to help the cups hold their shape, but with time (both during the day of wearing them as well as with washing them), they start digging into your skin and are very uncomfortable.

That being said, this bra addresses all of these issues. It's a very nice soft material (no padding) and it is wireless. It is one of the few bras that does not have the stiff plastic support on the sides. The material is such that multiple washes do not show (critical when you don't want to break the bank buying bras). The lace edging is a nice touch to make the bra look less utilitarian and more feminine. I would highly recommend!!

This is a great bra - comfortable, supportive, can open/close with one hand, attractive, fits great. What more could you ask for? I tried several other bras, and all were uncomfortable, unworkable, or looked bad under clothing. This one solved everything.

this bra is disappointing. I was so excited to get it after all of the great reviews. I think that it would be a great bra for smaller chested women. i have always been a 34D, and now after my first pregnancy-currently nursing a 6 month old, I'm a 34-36DD/E. This bra is just a thin piece of material in front, which is hard to tell from just online pictures. I have wanted to return mine, but am not sure if it's too late or not. I just hate spending so much money on a bra that I'm so unhappy with. I did also purchase the bella materna padded nursing bra, and it is fabulous! i wear it all the time, practically everyday, and it is so comfortable and has held up incredibly well. So, I hate to be a debbie downer, but the maternelle is just not the best for larger chested women. :-/

I researched a lot of nursing bras and am really glad I purchased this one, especially considering it is one of the cheaper bras out there. I wear a 32dd while nursing, and the bra is true to size. Also, the clasp has extra hooks so the band is more adjustable than a normal bra. The bra is not lined and does not have underwire, but it still manages to give great lift and support. I was worried I would get the sort of squashed, floppy look that I usually expect from non-underwire bras, but the cups are contoured in a way that gives a (for lack of a better description) pointed shape to the breasts rather than a flattened or uni-boob shape. I also feel very lifted on this bra. It is smooth and looks good under tight-fitting tops. It does have full coverage, so it may not be good for very low-cut tops, although the lace trim does look like a nice camisole rather than a bra if it does show. I got the nude color and it is perfect. One warning: It is unlined so nursing pads and/or nipples do show through with tight shirts. I don't usually use pads so this doesn't bother me.

38DD here. I like this bra. I find it minimizes and actually does keep the girls up without a wire. My only wish is that the straps were cushioned or padded. An optional pad or thicker lining would also be nice to be a little more discreet just after nursing.

I can't comment yet on how I'll like this bra as a nursing bra, as I'm still just at the start of my 7th month of pregnancy. But as far as a maternity bra, it's worked out quite well so far. One of my personal challenges has been finding a bra that is supportive, comfortable and shapes nicely, as I've gone up two cup sizes so far during my pregnancy (pre-pregnancy I was 34C, but have determined I must now be a 34DD).

I'm sort of an odd size to fit, though, because as an athletic swimmer, I have a muscular back, not much on the top part of my chest, and the bulk of my size in the bottom part of my chest (pre-pregnancy, I never had cleavage, for instance, and needed demi-bras because full-coverage bras were usually a bit too roomy). After trying out various bras -- mostly all by purchasing online, since I've found it very hard to find a wide selection of high-quality bra options (whether maternity or not) locally -- and purchasing some bras that do the job, but have flaws, I read lots of positive reviews of the Elle Macpherson Intimates bra and decided to try it.

One of the things I really like about it, at least for maternity, is that it has an extended set of snaps in the back, beyond what most bras have -- something like 6 or 8 columns for a more precise adjustment as your breasts grow or shrink. The stretchy material is comfortable to wear for all day at work -- and it also shapes my fuller chest surprisingly well. The straps are comfortable with a bit of "springiness" to them, and the lace is a nice touch.
