Sometimes the subjects willingly flaunt and delight in their intimate fantasies. Other times, it seems as if we are voyeurs who have stumbled into these very private and guarded moments. The images were shot over the last 15 years and many of them are unpublished. About the Author

Ellen von Unwerth was born in Germany and originally worked as a fashion model for 10 years. She is now one of the world's most in demand fashion, editorial and advertising shooters having shot campaigns for Victoria's Secret, Banana Republic, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, Bebe, Veuve Cliquot, H&M, Diesel and Chanel. Her editorial work has appeared in all the world's leading style magazines including Vogue, Interview and Vanity Fair. She is also an accomplished filmmaker. Ingrid Sischy is the Editor in Chief of Interview magazine, a position she has held since December 1989. Since 1997 Sischy has also been a contributing editor to Vanity Fair, and has written profiles of artists such as Francesco Clemente, Keith Haring, David Hockney, Jeff Koons, James Rosenquist, actress Nicole Kidman, and performer Madonna. Prior to joining Interview, Sischy was the Editor in Chief of Artforum from 1979 to 1988, at which point she joined The New Yorker magazine as a staff writer and as the magazine's photography critic; later she also became the magazine's fashion critic.

I am not going to load you with an erudite review. All I can say is that this is a superb collection of photographs for those who love the genre. Nice large images in a hard cover, big and heavy book. Some may find the images somewhat blurred or less than perfect. In fact few of them are technically impeccable. But that's beside the point. These images are meant to be fun and spontaneous and they achieve their goal in full. Also, no redunadant words, just a short foreword and a short biography at the end. Pity the names of the models are not indicated in the thumbnails at the end.

If you like Ellen's style just go for it: well worth the money and the shipping costs.

As long as I can remember, Ellen von Unwerth has always delivered great editorials. Unlike many hit or miss photographers, she has consistently delivered excellent and playful images. The photographs in this book are sexy, light, and well crafted; such a pleasure!

One of the best art books ever. With no doubt, Ellen is consolidated as one of the top photographers in our time, and an upcoming star for the history in photography. Her singular style and incredible fashion photographs are very well represented in this book. She's definitely in the league of the Avedon's and the Newton's. Taschen delivers once again a great soon to be classic, limited edition, with a great design and quality, soon to be worth more than the actual price.

There's no question "Ellen Von Unwerth is the next great one"...
