4.0 out of 5 stars A good book, but not complete., December 20, 2009

Ellie Herman has written several books on Pilates and each one is a gem! The Cadillac Book is excellent for the material it covers. The one drawback is she does not include the repertoire for the Roll Down Bar or the leg/arm springs. She does have a minimal amount of standing leg spring exercises, but no where near the entire repertoire. There is a separate Springboard Book for that. That's why I am giving it 4 stars. If you don't have access to a Springboard, then you're missing out on the verstile repertoire of the Roll Down Bar & the leg & arm springs. The Cadillac is wonderful for rehab and, as with all the Pilates equipment, you can work your entire upper/lower body. It's more verstile than the Reformer because you have so many different pieces to work with (roll down bar, push-thru bar, trapeze, fuzzy straps, arm & leg springs)I do think she should have included these in this book as well. I am a Pilates instructor and even though I am certified through another school, Ellie Herman provides variety. The Stott Pilates manuals are also good.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very little content, May 7, 2009
By
This book has useful info in it. Unfortunately, it does not cover very many of the exercises you can do on the cadillac. For the full information, you also have to buy her springboard book because she doesn't go over any exercises with the rollback bar or springs in the cadillac book. Her reformer book is much more in-depth and worth the money.
