The Mega Bible Library Version 6 software package seems to be designed with the home Bible student in mind. It appears to have all the Bible versions most serious Sunday School teachers and small group Bible Study leaders would utilize, including my personal favorite, the New American Standard (NAS)--1995 update. Among the typical Bible package functions it performs are: word searches (simple and 2 element Boolean), dictionary lookups, and parallel passage comparisons.

In a package such as this, there are always aspects that perform well and those that are less well conceived or implemented. On balance, the package is nicely suited for the most heavily used features: word searches and parallel Bible references. The user interfaces of those two functions are intuitive and appear to work efficiently. Especially nice is the text copy and "copy to clipboard" functions making it simple to move copied passages into your word processor document.

The weaker of the features seem to be the manner in which they implemented Strong's number/dictionary lookup and the "active reference Bible" toggle (or rather lack of toggle). Suffice it to say that the package does have Stong's Greek and Hebrew dictionary entries tied to the Strong's numbering scheme, however, the user interface into the numbers and dictionary is clumsy. In some future version it would be nice if the package could be made to link the NAS text to the Strong's numbering system so that a double click on a word in NAS would immediately bring up the proper Strong's dictionary entry.

That said, this package contains a wealth of other easy to access resources and information. Commentaries, maps, Vine's dictionary, and histories of hymns are all readily accessible and often link to the proper entries with just a simple double click of the mouse. With such a tremendous amount of information included and with so many Bible versions at one's fingertip, for the price, this package is genuinely a very good bargain. I would definitely recommend this software as an entry-level package for any student of the Bible.

I am a Bible study and Sunday School teacher. I have been using this product for some time now. It has a very easy interface, tons of Bibles, references, maps, clip-art, games at a fraction of what the other software products cost. It is BY FAR the best product out there for the money!

The content is very good as others have said, but the program looks like it was written 10 years ago. Kind of Klunky.

This is an expensive software that does not deliver. For a cheaper price and infinite better quality you can get "Ilumina" by Tyndale House Publishers.

[...] and I get clip art? Computers can run video, high-end audio, and high-rez pictures nowadays! I am very disappointed with this software for [$$$]. It does not live up to the name - Mega. It is simply some Bibles put into eBook-type form and a few bells and whistles. Not much else. If you like to line up 24 different Bible translations - have at it.

This was an open box product, but was OK, is working right no problems by now. Arrive on time.

I have tried lots of Bible software packages over the years and the Mega Bible Library is by far the biggest bang for the buck. It's real useful and easy to use. I LOVE IT!
