About the Author
Jennifer Chiaverini started quilting as a newlywed, wanting to begin her marriage with an heirloom quilt. She is the author of The Quilter's Apprentice, Round Robin, Cross Country Quilters, and The Runaway Quilt, which comprise the Elm Creek Quilts novels from Simon & Schuster. Jennifer lives in Madison, Wisconsin. Nancy Odom is a popular quilt designer, teacher, author, and the creator of Quilter's Gloves. She made her first quilt at the age of 17 and credits her grandmother with passing along her love of quilting. Nancy lives just outside Indianapolis, Indiana.

Jennifer Chiaverini lives with her husband and two sons in Madison, Wisconsin. In addition to the sixteen volumes in the Elm Creek Quilts series and four books of quilt patterns inspired by the novels, she designs the Elm Creek Quilts fabric line from Red Rooster Fabrics. If you enjoy the Elm Creek Quilters series, and like to quilt, this book is fantastic. The quilts are beautiful! The book is very well written with clear and concise instructions, and beautifully photographed. I really like that the traceable templates are full size as well, a big plus. The excerpts provided for most of the quilts pull you right back in to the books that these quilts are based on. A wonderful series and wonderful quilting books! I really am enjoying this book and cant wait to get started.

As I was reading the Elm Creek Quilts Novels, I tried to picture these works of art in my mind. This book was a delight because I was able to refer back and forth from the book to the quilt. It enabled me to enjoy the novels even more! Thanks so much for that "extra enhanced" visual. It has inspired me to start making my own quilt blocks.
