5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD. You will like it., May 8, 2001

This review is from: Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera (Audio CD)
Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera is a truly great lp. It sounds amazingly fresh and different from its contemporaries. My favorite songs here are "Mary Jane", "What's the Point in Leaving", "Dream Starts", "Air" well they are all good. Sounds somewhat like the Sgt. Pepper Beatles, Syd Barrett's Floyd (who they opened a few shows for) but has its own distinct style. Its such a good cd, you need this. Go get it.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Psychedelic record!, September 3, 2007
The first few songs are amazing. There are a few "filler" tunes among the 13 main tracks, but a couple of the bonus tracks make up for it, especially "Volcano". The packaging is very nice -sorta of bound like a mini children's book, so this one will prolly get expensive after the initial pressings sell out.
