Elmer has always dreamed of working in the workshop. Will he ever be able to pass Elf Initiation or will he always be "too little?" Join Elmer as he learns one of life's important lessons: following directions.
Born in LaPorte, IN Robert grew up in the wooded countryside with his mother, father and sister. He loved to spend time with his family and friends where he would often be the performer with a magic show or on the piano. He would often spend time with his cousin in the basement creating plays for the rest of the family to watch. This creativity grew and at the age of 15, he started writing stories for his aunt and his dad to act out during family Christmas gatherings. The result of one of these occasions was his first self published book "Elmer Elf Saves Christmas."
Robert went on to college in 1991 to pursue his teaching career. He spent 10 years teaching students from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Robert continued to write for enjoyment and for the pleasure of his students. His inspiration often came from his students and his family.
In 2009, Robert began working with Tate Publishing to create his first traditionally published book. "CJ In a Pickle" was inspired though his experiences as a parent.
