Our Favorite English-Italian Elmer Book!,

This review is from: Elmer's Day (English-Italian) (Elmer series) (Board book)
We purchased all of the English-Italian Elmer books so our daughter's Nonna and Nonno can read to her in italian. This one is our favorite since it has all of the activities that little ones are familiar with (bathing, playing, etc.). Elmer is so adorable and his colors are very attractive to babies and toddlers. The pictures also provide plenty to talk about such as how many birds are in the tree and where Elmer is hiding. We hope they continue making more of the English-Italian versions for other Elmer books. So far there are two others: Elmer's Colours (English-Italian) (Elmer series) and Elmer's Weather (English-Italian) (Elmer series). I highly recommend them all!

Perfect gift for a baby shower!,

This review is from: Elmer's Day (English-Italian) (Elmer series) (Board book)
My friend is married to an Italian man (born and raised there) and her in-laws still live there. These books were the perfect gift at her baby shower! She loved that it spoke to her baby's Italian heritage, and it scored lots of points with her husband's side. Plus the illustrations are adorable. Great for any smart, multicultural expectant couple (Italian or not)!

Bought for a friend,

I bought this book for a friend's daughter. Her husband is Italian and they are teaching their daughter Italian and English. They loved the idea of the book and she told me the Italian is spot on. The English translation she said was more British English sounding as opposed to American English. They read it to their daughter often.
