I had the privileges of knowing Elmer personally. As I read Pastor Unger's book, I could so clearly hear Elmer's voice and what a thrill that was. Paster Unger was a very dear friend of Elmer's and his account of Elmer's life, as I know it, is very accurate and enjoyable. I thank God that he had the foresight to write the book so Elmer's grandchildren and great-grandchildren will have a special treasure and remembrance of his life. I'm sure Elmer is smiling down on us enjoying being a celebrity.

As a member of Peter Unger's congregation I can tell you how that Elmer has helped shape his sermons. Peter is a wonderful Pastor that has taken many of the lessons he writes about in this book and brings them to life in his services and day to day conversations. Not having known Elmer, other than through the many stories Peter has shared with me and the congregation, I can only imagine how proud he would be of the work put into this book. It is a wonderful tribute to Elmer.
