Elmer's Washable Disappearing Purple School Glue Sticks, Three per Package, Six Grams Each

I have been a teacher for over 15 years. This year, these glue sticks were the worst ever. For some reason, the quality of this product has gone down...perhaps that's why they can sell for so cheap. Regular paper does not stick to anything. So many of my students' glue sticks have broken and fallen out way before getting to the end. I will not recommend this brand next year.

Clumps of glue will not turn clear, dries ENTIRELY too quickly, warps the paper, doesn't adhere even the thinnest of paper properly resulting in you having to re-glue the entire project. This glue fails in every possible way it could.

This glue goes on purple but dries clear. It's helpful for young children, because they don't always know where they've put the glue. This way, they can see it. It sticks well enough for schoolwork. I wouldn't use it for papercraft or scrapbooking, because it's wet for a glue stick. It tends to warp the paper like Elmer's white glue would.

Not as adhesvive as you might want, but perfect for kids projects where just a little stick and easy clean-up is best. Price was great.

We use "Elmer's Glue Sticks" for our kid's school posters and science fair displays, as well as in our small shop to make temporary signs.

I like that it is purple when it is applied because it makes it easy to see where the glue has been applied and it does dry colorless so it doesn't show through light color paper. This is not very strong glue and it is easy to remove items that have been attached using it, so we take a stick with us if we have to transport the poster or display board to touch-up anything that might have come loose.

Overall, a good glue stick for paper and small craft projects - Recommended!
