Nice, large and colorful. They are just isolated pictures with no link between them so as to invent a story... but in general its a nice book.

I am an English teacher in Korea. I collect picture books with simple patterns. In this book, every sentence begins with "Elmo likes . . ." That renders the book adaptable for lessons on verb conjugations ("Elmo and Big Bird like . . ."), for lessons on other verb tenses ("Elmo liked . . ."), and for personalizing with names of students in the class ("Clara likes . . .").

I give it a 4 because of the faults which Maciel points out.

This is the second Elmo book we've bought with a confusing storyline and illustrations. This book is supposed to illustrate what Elmo likes on each page, but for example, on one page it says, "Elmo likes ice cream...except when it melts" and shows Elmo holding an empty ice cream cone. Even my very sharp 16 mo. old was a little confused. Unless your baby has actually watched ice cream melt or eaten off an ice cream cone, this page is absolutely meaningless to them. On another page, it says, "Elmo likes when his friend, Zoe, shares her candy," but the illustration doesn't show her sharing. Instead, the page shows Zoe standing there by herself holding a big round thing (what is supposed to be a sucker). I could go on and on. Elmo books are cute, but I've found that you have to make up your own storyline or totally omit/amend various sentences here or there so that it actually makes sense to children - to the point of being annoying. I don't recommend that you go out of your way to purchase this book - just something to keep your eyes open for at garage sales or resale shops. This book is more appropriate for more mature 2 year-olds and up.

Ever since my daughter has been a few months old she has picked this book to read over many others that I have purchased for her. Now that she is 17 months old she still chooses this book to read time after time. This book is big and bright and very easy for little hands to handle. Highly recommended!

My daughter, like most kids, is an Elmo FANATIC. This book is nice and big and durable. It keeps her occupied for a while and she also carries it around while she's watching Sesame Street or her Elmo videos!

This book is wonderful! Grandma gave it to my son as a present when he was around two months old, and now at eight months it is still his absolute favorite. We cannot pass by the book without him "asking" (grunting and pointing) for it to be read. He has each of the pages memorized and knows what to expect next as we turn the pages together. The pages are large so they are fun for him to touch and handle. The illustrations are simple and bright and hold his attention for a long time. We read this book together every day and it truly makes my son happy. Highly recommended!
