My 18 month old loves these books. They are colorful and attractive to little ones. They are also compact, which is good for little hands and makes it easy to take along wherever you go. The sturdy laminated board pages are a plus, because the books can withstand the wear and tear of a curious toddler a lot better than a normal paperback book.

This set of 4 board books comes in a sturdy case with a handle. My 19 month old LOVES them and carries them everywhere with her. The "lift the flaps" are sturdy as well and my little one loves peeking behind them.

My daughter got this for Christmas. She loves books and Elmo. She already has 3 Elmo lift-flap books that I've used to keep her entertained on airplane trips. She loves these books and they each have a better story than the bigger lift-flap books she has. They also keep the theme of "Elmo's World". She loves them. She's entertained with a book. How can you not like this set?

This is a nice set of books; though I would not say they are the most durable lift the flap books I've seen. Interestingly, the reviews for this set of books are outstanding; yet the reviews for each of the books in the set (when reviewed individually) are terrible. In the individual reviews, people complained of poor quality (non-durable); but in the reviews for the boxed set, people say they are durable. I wondered before I purchased if the publisher upgraded the quality of the books when they were bundled into the set. After receiving them, I do not think that's the case. They are not as durable as I interpreted from some of the boxed set reviews; at the same time, they are not the worst quality on the market. My 22 month old is interested in these books and he has not managed to ruin them after owning them for a week. I think the books will withstand my son's use for the duration that he will be interested in them. The box flap is sealed with velcro. I found the amount of velcro used to be overkill. I think the flap can be bent by the child as he tries to pry open the really sticky velcro. I have a relatively hard time with it and I have full size hands. To mitigate this, I applied some scrap velcro pieces to the strip on the box - thereby cutting down the amount of velcro that can stick.

I like this set. The colors are bright and the flaps are great. It's educational. It's a sturdy book with thick pages and very durable.

I purchased this for an 18 month old. This is a great set. They love Elmo and the pictures. You might want to go through them first to "loosen" them because when the flaps have never been opened it is a bit difficult for them to get them open but after the first open the kids love seeing what's behind the flaps! It is a great first flap book because the pages and flaps are more durable than others so they can learn how it works without instantly ruining an expensive pop up book!!!!

Great board books. Flip-up flaps make them interactive and there are enough words for beginning readers but not too much to be overwhelming. The perfect first bedtime book collection.

My child said: "Elmo" before she even said Mama so buying this set for Christmas was a no-brainer. I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy and durable both the books and the carry case was. She loves to carry around the box from room to room with her, she sits for long periods of time babbling to herself and pointing to the big bright pictures, and the flaps have stood up to her vigorous and excited pulling without tearing... very impressive. The subject matter is exactly what babies love: Balls, animals, other babies....

This is a fabulous set and well worth the low price!!!

My 18 month old daughter received these books at 12 months and STILL loves these books. The books are on babies, balls, food, and puppies -- all subjects that my daughter LOVES. The flaps are large and easy for her little hands to manuever. The only complaint I have about the food book is that it says that pizza is a "healthy food". I would disagree with that statement. Other than that, she still reaches for at least 1 of the 4 books at bedtime.

This colorful set of four books, Babies, Balls, Food and Puppies, is ideal for any toddler, but especially for the Elmo fans in the world. The lift flaps are sturdy enough to withstand multiple uses, each book has an interesting topic, the illustrations are bright, colorful and age-appropriate, the text is educational and entertaining, and they come in a well-constructed carrying case so they would be great to take along for appointments and other events that might require waiting. I have bought these for my grandchildren who range in age from newborn to 3 1/2 because I know toddlers always are so delighted with the surprise element found in the lift-the-flap books--it is part of their "Permanence of Object" development. I am very pleased with the quality of the books and quite amazed at the low price for the set. They are really a great bargain!!
