I loved the book. I lived in Detroit most of my life and wasn't aware of the history of Elmwood and the characters buried there. The pictures were wonderful! I do wish a complete list of all the graves were included in the book. Since family genealogy is so popular right now it would of been a real asset.

I've had this book since the late 90s. I've spent countless hours over the years photographing and video recording the marvelous grave sites in the cemetery. If your looking for a book on Elmwood, which include a wealth of biographical info on the inhabitants who reside eternally in the cemetery. Also worth noting a listing of notables by section, and profession (politics, military, black history) I highly recommend this book. This cemetery is one of my personal favorites to visit in the Spring and Summer months. I firmly believe this book will help you enjoy the solitude, and tranquility, while also appreciating the historical value of the cemetery and its final residents.

Lots of information that we didn't know about. My son works at Elmwood, and we visited it and will go back it is so beautiful. The book helped guide us through with interesting stories and facts that we could see right in front of us. Glad we bought this book.
