Allie, sleuth for the supernatural, returns with another mystery. Her classmate, Bettina, wants to speak with the ghost in her house, but when Allie and her ghost hunter friends investigate, the case takes an unexpected direction. Allie can't communicate with the ghost even when they throw a special sance, but she's determined to solve the ghostly problem no matter what. Melissa Chambers reproduces the middle school voices of Allie and her three friends competently. Occasionally her expression is flat, but overall she succeeds in conveying the frustrations of adolescence and the shivery thrills of ghost hunting. There's an eager audience for supernatural stories who will love listening to Allie's exploits. C.A. © AudioFile 2008, Portland, Maine
