This item is basically thin gauge, very stiff, formed cardboard with a micro thin material covering. (Thinner then the headliner in your car that's falling down from the glue no longer sticking)

The coloring is nice, rustic. But that's all it has going for it. This item is strictly for amateur costumers. The hat's exterior is over-sized (exaggerated) and looks cartoony. (Although the girl in the picture looks striking in it. But then again, I'm not really looking at the hat)

It doesn't look like a real pirate hat from the movies. It looks like a cheap prop. I wear a 7 1/2 adult hat and this thing I can barely squeeze on, and I'm bald. No way will it fit with a wig on.

I paid $30+ with shipping. The hat alone is worth about $9 in a common Joke store.

If you want to be a clown pirate or some kiddie show pirate host, this will do. But it is NO WAY Capt. Jack Sparrow or Pirates Of The Caribbean worthy. I'd return it but I'd blow another $12 sending it back.

Again, very amateurish.

Also, it arrived 10-14 days after it was promised.

This is a geat product for the price. It is well made, holds it shape and sits nicely on the head. Like it! I ordered a slightly less expensive pirate hat also offered on Amazon by a different seller which wasn't half as nice -- so I bought this one. Glad I did.

I am a costumer for a local community theatre that is performing Tres. Island. The actor that gets to wear this hat is thrilled! He loves it. The customer service for this company is wonderful. I recommend this hat and the company for anyone interested in good quality!

The Quality of this product cannot be overstated ... it was heavy duty, realistic, and with elastic band in hat bad fit great and allowed me to wear it in a tilted back position ... I wear an extra large hat but this would fit small heads equally well. Was the Hit at Halloween and really set off the Jack Sparrow look. Shipping was superfast ... similar to all my Amazon purchases. I would recommend this to any Adult looking for the "right" Pirate look.

Previous reviews have indicated that the quality and craftsmanship of the product are poor, distasteful... what have you.

However, I am surprisingly satisfied with the quality of the hat, as I am sure you would be as well.

Ignore other reviews. Recommend this buy, looks better than you'd think.

I think that is an excellent hat. The product is very good, very real. I'm very happy. The size is perfect. The colours are excellent.

This hat is made of cardboard. It's lightweight. The whole thing weights two or three ounces. The textured look you see in the picture isn't the actual hat material. It's paint! Sparkley brown paint and sparkley gold paint. If I had known this was a painted cardboard hat, I would not have purchased it.

ordered for a theme wedding, and it looked good, till it got wet in the rain. then it started looking like crap. after it dried out it looked good again, so just take note and stay dry. it was the second best at the wedding, and the second cheapest, so id rate it a 5* value for money, and would have been 5* all over if it didnt look so bad wet. still overall a good pirate hat, and best in its price range.

If your skinny this is not the hat for you waist 48 inches this is a big hat its a nice hat but if your not wide it'll look like a gigantic taco landed on your head

Best hat on here for the price. Not flimsy at all and has a great look an feel to it. Definitely recommend it
