This BEARHAT greatly exceeded my expectations. It is very warm and portable and goes with any outfit. What the description does not mention is that this hat has a secret pocket located on the inside which is great for storing just about anything such as nuts, berries, small rocks, ducks, etc. The BEARHAT has also greatly increased my use of capital letters while typing, adding excitement to even the most mundane sentences. The BEARHAT becomes exponentially greater when accompanied by several other BEARHATs forming a BEARHAT colony that cannot be stopped by any force known to man. There have been cases reported of small villages devastated by these BEARHAT colonies, the populations being forced to join the colony in order to survive. However, historians have determined that these takeovers have been more beneficial than harmful for the conquered people as the subsequent use of capital letters have made their lives much more fascinating than prior to the BEARHAT invasions.

The only downside of this BEARHAT is its durability as the button fell off within a day of vigorous us, however this can be forgiven as contrary to popular belief, bears are not fans of plastic buttons and therefore they DO NOT belong on a BEARHAT. Bears have much higher standards and prefer brass buttons with anchors. Highly recommended.

Just got my order in the mail. 11/2/11 This hat is NOTHING like what is pictured! I bought this for a birthday gift and now I do not have enough time to return it and get something closer to what I had expected to receive. Not happy with this purchase at all. I don't know if the people who gave this hat 5 stars got the same one that I did but if they did they're delusional. No claws, not the same color and looks very cheap! I'm embarrassed to even give this as a gift. To the person who gave this 5 stars even though it the "button fell off within a day," WTH?!?

Fun! Costume Fun! Keeps my ears warm too! Ps. it has a lil' button on the "Paws" so you can wrap it nice a snug under your chin!

Great stuff. fits me and i have a big head...in more ways than one :-). It is durable and makes people brighten up when i am wearing it. Now i have decided to use it as my "Quiet Hat" at work so people know that when i am wearing it they should leave me alone in the open office so i can get on with admin stuff...very good indeed!

I am very disappointed! I really wish I would have read more of the reviews on this item before buying.

The bear hat is very different than what is displayed in the picture! Total false advertising.

-The ears are very small compared to the pictured item.
-The material inside the hat is a thin polyester sheet. The picture looks as though it has a fleece lining.
-The fur is MUCH darker and splotchy (almost black if it wasn't for the lighter brown fur underneath).
-NO BEAR CLAWS... This was the biggest disappointment for me. Claws was a big selling point for me. It has "paws" but they are clawless...

UPDATE THE PRODUCT PICTURE!!!!!!!

This was to be a Christmas present. My family celebrates Christmas a week before to allow everyone to have Christmas day with their family. Now I have two days to find a replacement.

Back in the box and back to amazon it goes.

This is a really cute hat. The bears paws wrap snuggly around the chin. Fits adult head well. A very fun hat that'll get some attention!

What I recieved is nothing like what is advertised. Its a disgrace this is still being sold after all the bad reviews it has recieved. Has amazon got no shame in what it allows to be sold on its site.

I absolutely love this item, but it didn't arrive as pictured. The item doesn't have the little claws on it, but it was fine and I didn't bother with trying to get a new one. It's nice and fuzzy with cute ears. :D It also keeps my head very toasty warm on windy days.

We bought 3 of these for Halloween costumes, and we won 2nd place at our party. We just added some basics like bows and ties to make Goldie Locks and the 3 bears. The hats are well made and warm. They fit both teens and adults. Loved them!

at the time of this review (mid october 2011). the hat doesn't have the claws on it. MAJOR selling point for me. not sure what else is different, but it just doesn't seem like the hat in the picture. won't return, cause my girly thinks it's cute. she can have it. i needed something vicious. /sigh...
