This review is from: The Elric Saga: Part III (Fortress of the Pearl; Revenge of the Rose) (Hardcover)
Having read many fantasy books, I finally stumbled upon Michael Moorcock's Elric series. I am a big Bob Salvatore fan and wonder if some of his characters were loosely based upon Elric and some of the other characters in this series. I have found the Elric series quick paced and very entertaining. I'm a huge Drizzt fan, from Salvatore's books, and I now have to add Elric to that same level. A must series for any fantasy readers collection.

Elric Saga Strike 3,

This review is from: The Elric Saga: Part III (Fortress of the Pearl; Revenge of the Rose) (Hardcover)
I read Part 1 with major disappointment. I gave up halfway through part 2. I read the first chapter of part 3 and determined that it was plagued with the same disjointed, shallow, unlikely plots. I realize that sword and sorcery novels require a good imagination but this is a stretch even for that genre. I don't recall other works of Moorcock being this lame.
