About the Artist

The band Elroy is a 4 piece, featuring Marc McElroy on vocals, guitar, and organ, Charlie Kickham on guitar, Brian Coleman on bass and Adam Doiron on drums. The band was formed in the summer of 2001, and premiered its sound with a 5-song free CD in September of that year called "Don't Buy It! - Volume I.The band continued to grow in their own unorthodox way, releasing their commercially available CD "Elroy"in January 2003, on the same day as their second "Don't Buy It!"collection. Taking advantage of 21st century global shrinking technology, they have recorded, released and promoted the CD on their own to startling results: sales, airplay, and great reviews world wide and still building. Plus their commercially available CD comes with a recommended price that is up to ½ what some labels give for a price on a new CD, and there's always free music to download too.

The music can only be described as ROCK. Elroy plays concise, catchy rock songs, and is proud of it. Wilco's long lost brother? The Stone's illegitimate sons? (biologically possible) With lots of infamous influences, the band carries "rock" into the 21st Century giving it it's own distinctive twist.

The album is a collection of 11 diverse songs, recorded on vintage recording gear, using a lexicon of vintage sounds. Guitars, bass, drums, and Hammond organ with vocals, it's a familiar sound as soothing as a visit from your old friend, but new and refreshing at the same time.
