Elsevier's Dictionary of Automotive Engineering comprises technical terms relating to vehicles, materials, assemblies and components parts. Terminology of tools used in garages, with their own specific jargon, is also included.
It is the first technical dictionary that covers the three international languages English, French and German, as well as Dutch and Polish. The Basic Table lists the entries in alphabetical order of the English terms. Alphabetical indexes in other languages, referring to the Basic Table, are also included so each language can be used as a source and a target language. The work is intended for translators and others working with technical automotive documentation.
