A Must Have to Your Music Collection!!!,
By
This review is from: Elusive (Audio CD)
There are many ways that love rises to the surface in our lives. It can come disguised as questions and as answers, as both comfort and discomfort--- often simultaneously. The essential elements that fill in the spaces between the beats of the heart are not only in dreams and fairytales, but in real life in all of its messy, yet perfect glory. Adrina Thorpe captures this beauty, beautifully.
The album "Elusive" is a very impressive first effort. Adrina's pristine vocals and intricate piano work yield numerous memorable tracks, including the opening "Fly Fly Fly" and the popular "Round the Bend". Her youthful romanticism is perhaps captured best in "Did You Think", a catchy tune that is embellished with soothing vocals and sparkling keyboards. This album is a must have to anyone's collection. I promise you will not be disappointed!

Still in awe..,

Like many others, I first stumbled upon Adrina's music on myspace.com. I spent an entire night listening to my personal favorites "Sorry" and "Did you think." Her voice can be compared to amazing artists such as Sarah Mclachlan and Tori Amos, but is definitely unique and purely captivating in its own.Adrina's passion is clearly evident and each song will be guaranteed to provoke emotion. This album demonstrates the epitome of grace and originality in one. She continues to inspire me and surely many others. Be sure to add this to your music collection, you will not be disappointed.

This is a solid effort throughout. Adrina Thorpe's music comes from the heart, and touches the soul with many emotions. On hearing "Did You Think," I realized I just had to have this awesome collection of music. Adrina's voice is so beautifully expressive throughout each selection. Every single song is good- extremely rare in most albums. This is not like most albums. I consider it to be one of the best CDs in my collection; and easily the best CD I've purchased in some time. Highly recommended!

I first came across Adrina Thorpe and her debut album Elusive on MySpace earlier this year and it has become one of my favourite albums since then. Adrina's strengths are manifold - she has a stunning voice which she uses well to perform her beautifully written songs. The songs on the album range from very tender ballads to up tempo pop songs which speak of life and a subtle spirituality. It's odd to come across an album without any filler tracks but Elusive is one of this rare breed. Every song is an attention grabber in its own way and leaves you humming the tunes in your head. Since I got Elusive it's been practically glued into my CD player and my Walkman. Can't wait for the next album! Very highly recommended!

I received the "Elusive" album about 2 weeks ago and it is absolutely excellent. I have been recommending her to friends and as well, I'd recommend this to music lovers in general. In this day and age of formulaic corporate insultingly dull music, it is so refreshing to find an artist such as Adrina Thorpe that re-affirms that there is still intelligent and creative life out there. My favorite tracks right now are "More than Seventeen", "Sorry", and "Never Meant". Do yourself and the music world a favor and support this bright new artist and spread the word about Adrina Thorpe!
