A great value.
I am very impressed with these muffs. I like to shoot. I have used inexpensive muffs and found that they did not provide adequite protection. So that even though their electronics did what they were designed to do, my ears still took a beating. Save your money
I'm very disappointed in this product. My 50 cent earplugs are far superior in blocking outside noise. I actually bought these to listen to music while on the mower. I thought that with the audio jack it would be perfect. The audio jack is absolutely horrible. With no outside noise, I can barely hear the music, even with my iPod's volume up all the way. I am very impressed with these muffs. I like to shoot. I have used inexpensive muffs and found that they did not provide adequite protection. So that even though their electronics did what they were designed to do, my ears still took a beating. I have also used high end muffs that cost twice as much as these, and found that they really did nothing more for me than the Elvex muffs. They are comfortable, the sound reproduction is good, the electronics produce no background noise (hiss), and they have the audio plug. They are a good value for the money.

When I plug in my cheap $2 headphones into my iPod, the music is loud and clear with the volume up only halfway. So, I know it's this product's audio jack that's worthless. All in all, a really bad deal. I had high hopes for this too.
