To entertain the homesick American troops during World War II, artist Gil Elvgren brought his trademark technicolour painting style from advertisments to pin-ups. He photographed models and then painted them into a longer-legged, curvier reality. This card box contains some of his images.

If the Saturday Evening Post became a classic stag magazine, then it would be filled with the Gil Elvgren's pin-ups. My girlfriend framed the "Bubbling Over" postcard I sent her long ago and now it hangs in our bathroom!
