This review is from: Elvis - Birth of Rock N' Roll (DVD)
This short but sweet documentary features interviews with Scotty Moore, and many others that were involved with Elvis's first year in the business. The great thing about this doc is, it covers a lot of ground that hasn't been covered before.
For Elvis fans only.

Elvis gains new fans every year, as each generation discovers his talent, the same as my friends and I did growing up as teenagers in the early '50's. This DVD explains in simple terms the enormous appeal he had to our generation, as well as the continuing impact on subsequent generations. It's now Dec 2008 and I am hearing "Blue Christmas" and other Elvis classics, which are played every year at this time. They are timeless, as Elvis is. His #1 hits are being remastered and released again with stunning clarity and technical quality.
For all his fame and notoriety, Elvis really was an unpretentious, genuine human being, blessed with an truly historic talent for entertaining us. Forever young, his memory lives through videos like this and it stays alive. You will enjoy this DVD.

I love anything about the young and rockin Elvis Presley. I am particularly interested in his childhood in Tupelo, teenage years in Memphis, and his first taste of success with Sun records. This DVD should be in your library if you share my interests. This documentary focuses on 1953-1955. If you are a serious Elvis fan, you will want this DVD.
