I have read many books written about Elvis over many years.
Some interesting, some outright ridiculas.
Some, although a few, have been very close to being realistic,
But i have never come across anything quite like what this book is suggesting. PLEASE, Even Elvis would be amused by this book!
It is common knowledge that Elvis Was/is very religious and quoted from the bible many times in his life, not much research had to go into writing about Elvis and religion. To me Cindy Godfrey, has a vivid imagination,but to be fair, I thought her book"The Elvis-Jesus Mystery" was of great imagination and "unbelievable" funny..By the way, I have studied Elvis from Tupelo to 1977, and even more closely from 1977 to the present day. Gail Georgio got it wrong,and indeed so has Cindy Godfrey.
Elvis loves the lord,and he is religious, but thats about as close as it gets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry Cindy!!!!

I will give Ms. Godfrey the credit for having the courage of her conviction; the way in which this book is written certainly conveys the spirit of a True Believer.

Having said that, this book is also testimony to the adage that it is possible to interpret anything in any way if you believe it enough (that is, of course, the basis of faith in the first place). Whether or not Ms. Godfrey expects others to start sharing in her belief is not the point; indeed, she has certainly put forth sufficient evidence to support the reasoning behind her own belief...it is up to the reader to ask him or herself on an individual basis whether they see things in the same light as the author.

The theological evidence, if interpreted in the way that the author suggests, is rather compelling...this book is a fascinating study and a completely different take on the "legend" of the "Elvis Lives" conspiracy. She started to lose me as an interested reader when she started to bring into play the connection of extraterrestrial beings into the equation, however...at that point the book ceased being a very interesting theological discussion and started becoming just another entry in the tabloid press.

In summation, if you are among those who has noticed how many millions of people Elvis has touched in death and in doing so thought even off-handedly that only Jesus has similarly affected so many in such a (posthumous) positive light, you will absolutely want to read this book; it was written for people who are taken with the thought of "Elvis -the man" rather than "Elvis -the musician/singer".

If anyone is stupid enough to buy this book to read, they deserve to lose their money. I don't have to read this book to know that it is laughable, silly and downright ridiculous if, in fact, the author is attempting to demonstrate that Presley could be anyone's messiah.

The author has done very extensive research and ties the two subjects together as much as information is made public, concerning Elvis Presley. Most interesting reading, and would recommend it to Elvis fans.
