This review is from: Elvis My Dad: The Unauthorized Biography of Lisa Marie Presley (Paperback)
I expected a full, comprehensive biography on Lisa Marie Presley. Instead it is a boring rehash of Elvis' life, with bits and pieces of Lisa Marie's life thrown in for good measure. About two-thirds of the book deals with Elvis' life; Lisa Marie seems more of an afterthought. I do not recommend this book for this reason. It's a poor biography of Elvis and an even poorer one of Lisa Marie. I got the impression this book was hastily churned out back in 1990 to blatantly make a quick buck off of Elvis Presley. It doesn't seem like the author interviewed anybody even remotely connected to Lisa Marie. It is the type of book available at supermarket checkout counters, next to The National Enquirer and other similar tabloids. It is not worth purchasing and I can see why it's unauthorized because EPE and/or Lisa Marie would never recommend such junk.

However--if you collect Elvis biographies, then it's an ok book to have in your collection.

I do hope that a more detailed, insightful biography on Lisa Marie will be written, because this one isn't even close. Lisa Marie deserves better.
