The book does not go into any detail. Everything in this book most people know even if they were never a fan.

1.0 out of 5 stars not good February 7, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
this is more like an article than a book. VERY short. Kind of a summary of his life in short form. Nothing, and i mean NOTHING new in the book to learn. Disappointing.

Ok, not greatly written. Probably would not waste my money if I could do over again. Better books out there.

2.0 out of 5 stars Elvis Exposed....not really July 9, 2013
By Greyz
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The wasn't the worst book I've ever read but it was close. If I just dropped in from another planet and wanted a very quick read about Elvis, this book would have been a good start. There was really nothing to be learned about Elvis that hasn't been "exposed" years ago.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book August 16, 2013
By Pebbles
Format:Kindle Edition
Well written book. It was very informational but not targeting just the negative side (his drug use), I felt it gave a well rounded side to his life. His life shouldn't be summed up nor remembered by the way it tragically ended. Would definitely recommend this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars HORRIBLE March 2, 2013

This writer needs to use spell check...And when talking about Gladys (Elvis's mom) he called her Gloria..Was filled with the same things every other book has already told us..not worth $5...If you want an Elvis book read Elvis and Me written by Pricilla Presley

5.0 out of 5 stars Three Cheers for Joe May 11, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I just finished reading the short biography of Elvis Presley, as well as John Lennon, as well as Michael Jackson, all written by Joe Bensam. They were enthralling. I especially liked how the author related each life story in segments with one or two life event per segment. This made it easy to find a stopping in reading.A book can be read in several hours. Light reading. Enjoyable

1.0 out of 5 stars Superficial June 14, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It was more a very long article. There was no pathos nor empathy Presley. Nothing in-depth, very dry and pat and just skimming the surface. It did not do justice to the man and his life. It was a waste of money. I hope there is a good biography out there somewhere of this tremendously influencial man, without which we wouldn't have had the Beatles and much much else.

3.0 out of 5 stars An interesting account of the story of Elvis.
There were no revelations to this on going story. We will never know the whole story. A sad statement today!

2.0 out of 5 stars Elvis story in condensed form
I love Elvis. This book did not do him justice. Not particularly well written. Seemed to be facts mixed with few stories. Would not recommend.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight
Very easy and quick read with no new or exciting revelations. If you know nothing of Elvis it gives you a quick background but otherwise not worth the read.

Had many facts I didn't find in other books. This is a must read for all who followed Elvis. :)

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of Time and Money!
If I could give this "book" zero stars, I would. I stopped reading it early on, as soon as the author referred to Elvis' mother as "Gloria." Don't bother.

4.0 out of 5 stars Freshly bio interestingly written worthy of reading again...
Of the many books I've read of Elvis, this one seems to be very interestingly written. The writer has the ability to transport you to that certain time and space. Read more

Was not really impressed with this book, nothing I haven't heard before and I thought it was not really that well written.

5.0 out of 5 stars Elvis lives on
Although I already knew much of what was written here, I did gain some new facts. Bottom line - his influence remains undeniable. Forever "The King of Rock and Roll."

3.0 out of 5 stars Elvis EXPOSED
It wasn't very well written; I didn't care much for it at all. However, Elvis was and is still the greatest singer ever!
