Elvis does live and Mr. Eicher has the proof in this book. Multiple sightings and multiple contacts show the truth from this shy rock star's disappearance.

Elvis Sightings Interesting,

For the most part, these sightings are very well written and seem possible. The one about Elvis spotted in a trailer park is weak to say the least; however, most will make you think twice if you keep an open mind. I find this book fairly well written and hard to put down once you start reading. What if ??

By far the most comprehensive book on Elvis sightings.,

As a highly respected and lauded scholar on the topic of canned cheese food products, I must commend Mr. Eicher on his efforts to present clearly and even-handedly the often ridiculed issue of Elvis sightings. His meticulously researched and extensively footnoted tome is a triumph of modern scholarly efforts. I am proud to have this volume in my ponderously large library and I consider it one of the crown jewels in my collection of American literature. Anyone with a modest degree of breeding and education should not find fault with this magnificent book. Perhaps I should succumb to the powerful temptation to spend a part of my vast fortune to support the work of this young man. Bravo, I say, Mr Eicher! Bravo!

The worst book I have ever read.,

This book promises documented sightings, photographic proof, conspiracy theories and more. What it provides is a couple of pages of well-known curiosities (misspelling on his gravestone, for example) but no reasoned explanation of anything at all. The vast majority of the book is comprised of short stories of accounts of meeting the King all given by people whose identities are kept secret. The standard line is " I can never prove it, but I know He is with us still". My favourite account is of a guy who lives in a trailer park who is obsessed with Elvis, sees the back of someone walking past his window the morning after a night of heavy drinking, and falls down and cuts himself running out to try and see the person's face. He KNOWS he has seen Elvis....because he has the scar to prove it. If you are considering buying this book, poke out both your eyes with a pencil. In the long run, you will come to realise you made the right decision.

Elvis has not left the building,

Elvis Presley died in 1977. However, many Americans refuse to accept this, and rumours about Elvis still being alive started almost immediately after his death. "The Elvis Sightings" by Peter Eicher is a collection of such rumours. The book is a very mixed bag. Some of the tall tales are entertaining, others are plain boring, while others must have been written (or perhaps heavily edited) by the author himself. Most of the Elvis sightings are "natural", but at least one is with a supernaturally risen Elvis, who tells a troubled teen that there are many gateways in the universe, and then promptly vanishes into thin air. The most bizarre story has Elvis discussing Christian theology with a hiker in the Appalachians. It seems Elvis attempts to harmonize Augustinianism with process theology and a bipolar god! He even cracks the novel theory that the *soul* is dependent on the physical body for survival. OK. Other favourites include the story of how Elvis impersonates himself during a performance at a sunky bar, or the tale about a heavy metal guy who meets Elvis at a laundromat. Elvis tells him to listen to his own music instead! Apparently, The King also had a log cabin in the middle of the Everglades. There's even a story about how Elvis died in a plane crash in Bolivia (of all places). Overall, however, I'd say Eicher's little book is relatively bland. Besides, Eicher is wrong. Elvis is definitely dead. I know it. I saw it happen. You see... :O

I was a young girl when (The king of Rock) Elvis was touring around the country and I whole hartedly believe in this book. I have read this book over and over again from cover to cover, and believe me once you pick up this book you will read it at least twice, before, you will put it down. Mr Eicher is a LITERARY GENIUS. This is his gift to all Elvis lovers and believers. While reading this book I couldn't control my emotions. I believe every Elvis follower owes it to him or herself to buy and read this fine work of art.
