Product Description

Elzetta ZSM-T Tactical Shotgun Flashlight Mount. (Mount Only, Flashlight Sold Separately) Attaches to barrel & magazine tube. The Elzetta ZSM-T is designed for 12-Gauge Shotguns and also comes with gauge adapters that allow the Elzetta ZSM-T to be used with 20-Gauge and .410 shotguns. Elzetta ZSM-T comes with sizing adapters giving the mount the ability to hold flashlights from 0.70 to 1.05 inches in diameter (18 to 27 mm). This includes flashlights from popular manufacturers such as InForce, Streamlight, Pelican, Laser Devices, SureFire, and of course, Elzetta Flashlights. Sizing Adapters are not required when using an Elzetta Flashlight or other 1-inch Light.

The Quick-Release Thumbscrew allows flashlights to be installed and removed rapidly and without tools. A coin or other flat object may be used to tighten the Thumbscrew. ZSM-T can be mounted to either side of the shotgun to accommodate left-handed or right- handed shooters.

This glass-filled polymer construction provides outstanding durability, impact resistance, scratch resistance and light weight. It also withstands high temperatures, vibration, and most chemicals.

The Elzetta ZSM-T will work with Remington 870, Remington 1100, Remington 1187, Mossberg 500, Mossberg 590, Mossberg 590A1, Mossberg 835, Mossberg 930 SPX, Benelli M1, Benelli M2, Benelli M3, Benelli M4, Benelli Nova, Benelli Super Nova, Winchester Defender, and many other shotguns that have 1-3/4" (44 mm) of free space on the magazine tube and barrel.

All Elzetta products, including the ZSM-T, are designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA using American materials, tooling, and labor.

I was a little worried about purchasing this for my Mossberg 500 after reading that you need 1.75 inches of clearance on the barrel and magazine tube. I have a newer Mossberg 500 with the 5 round tube, which does not extend all the way to the end of the barrel. When I measured the distance between the pump and the tube's end, it was maybe 1.7 inches. I purchased the mount, hoping it would fit.

When I received the mount, it snapped right on, but you need to make sure it's as far forward on the tube as it can go. I have maybe 1/32 of an inch clearance between the mount and the pump. The action works fine and all rounds successfully loaded after installing the mount.

The mount is fantastic and perfectly fits the flashlight I also purchased from Amazon (Streamlight 88850 Polytac LED). The mount holds the flashlight perfectly rigid and I have found no complaints! I would definitely recommend this mount if you're looking to only add a flashlight, rather than a picatinny rail on the forend grip.

This mount is rugged, lightweight and well made. It feels rock solid and places the flashlight in the perfect position so that it can be easily activated via the tail cap button with the tip of the thumb, while gripping the forend naturally. It's perfect for someone like me who wants to keep things simple and doesn't want to mess with picatinny rails, wired pressure activated switches, etc. that could potentially fail. I'm using it on my Mossberg 500 w/ 18.5" barrel and 5 shot mag tube. My flashlight is a Fenix PD-32.

For any shotgun with a mag tube that's shorter than the barrel, light blockage from the barrel could be a problem, since the flashlight must be mounted further back on the mag tube. The Elzetta places the light outward, away from the barrel just enough so that shadowing from the barrel is minimized. My Fenix has a rather wide beam and there is a little bit of shadowing in the periphery, but with a narrower beamed flashlight there might not be any at all. I also considered lower profile mounts which place the light closer to the barrel, but these would cause a good portion of the beam to be blocked by the barrel and the tail cap button would be more awkward to reach. If your gun's mag tube is the same length as the barrel (e.g. 20" w/ 7 round mag), the light can be mounted farther forward to completely eliminate shadowing.

This mount increases the max width of the gun by about 1.5", which made it a little too big to fit in the rifle case I used previously. So I'll need to buy a wider 'tactical' case for it. The thumbscrew is okay, but it's a bit too short, which causes the nut on the backside to fall out and easily get lost whenever loosening it to remove the flashlight. It would work better if they molded the nut into the bracket.

I have this mounted on my Mossberg 590A1, along with an Olight M20. After 200 rounds, the flashlight slipped forward a bit, but it was probably because I did not have the thumbscrew tightened down enough. The mount itself was secure. For home defense purposes, this works fine. However, I'd go with something else for the field.

Bought this for my Remington 870 tactical 12 gauge. Fits perfect. Looks like it came as a factory option. I installed a Streamlight Polytac led light with no adapters or modifications. Highly recommended.

It was pretty easy to install on my Mossberg 500. Here is a tip. When you put it on get a vice grip welding clamps to squeeze the heat shield together or you fight with it. Overall it is a very nice mount and holds my light very secure.

This mount is a great fit on my Mossberg 590SP. I purchased a Streamlight 88850 Polytac LED flashlight and the pair is unbeatable. Whether illuminating your shotgun for home defense or hunting this product definitely exceeded my expectations.
