I bought this MP3 player because I wanted something inexpensive to play audio books on while I work out; I thought if it didn't cost much, then I wouldn't be too upset if it got damaged. Was I surprised - this little player is so much more than just a low-cost alternative to an iPod! Compact, convenient, easy to use, and it actually does everything the product description says it does!

The sound quality might not suit the nit-pickiest of audiophiles, but it is a *lot* better than I expected at this price range; it can easily compete with players costing three times as much.

I liked mine so much that I bought one for my husband, who has *no* patience with hard to use, complex gadgets; he loves it!

I would recommend this player for pretty much anyone - kids, college students, moms, dads, grandparents, you name it. This is going to make my holiday shopping so much easier this year! :-)

Ok.....This little player has got to be the best thing ive seen in a long time. Who needs an "ipod" when this is just as fine. Maybe better. I like to listen to the radio so thats a nice plus and that i can record off of it is nice too. Thanks Ematic and AMAZON!

I bought this MP3 player for my wife and she really likes it. It is small, so it doesn't take up much room which is good. You can also transfer the music and pictures easily to the player. The few draw backs that I saw were 1) if you like to really listen to your player, the battery will need to be recharged daily; 2) if you are getting this player for the movie feature, I don't think that it would be worth it because it will only accept one special format and ;3) when you put your songs on the player, it stores the songs as one long list of songs. You have to scroll down the entire list in order to find a particular song. It would have been good if you could place groups of songs in a folder.

All that being said, I still think that is a good player for the price. It sounds really good if you have some good headphone. I do recommend this player if you are looking for a player for the music and not the other features.

Overall, this MP3 player by Ematic is wonderful for the price tag on it!

I've been doing some shopping around for MP3 players to try to get the "best" possible deal. I didn't want to go for an ipod because it looks pretty and it doesn't really do much (because it lacks a radio and a recording device) compared to other third party MP3 players. I was a bit skeptical about buying a third party electronic, but after doing a little research I found the Ematic to be quite well suited for recordings and hearing music and listening in on the radio. Although the ear buds supplied are not the best, a different higher quality pair would easily improve sound output. That does not detract from the possible customizations one can do to the settings to choose the quality of the voice recordings which I found to be a neat feature, and many other settings as well. The interface is quite simple and easy to understand. Synchronizing and adding in music files is simple as well. It's almost as light as a feather. I know this is probably old news to those aware and is completely irrelevant, but just out of curiosity I also researched the Lithium polymer battery that is internally embedded into the player and it does not suffer from such memory effects that batteries from yesteryear once did.

I received this as a gift two Christmases ago, and it's still working fine despite many falls. I don't use most of the features; I just use it for music. It took me a while to get used to its quirks -- I hate that I can't put songs in the order I want. There is no organization to it. I have misplaced my installation CD and the company website ([...]) doesn't provide drivers for download, or any recent support help. I'm not sure that this is compatible with my new computer, which runs Windows 7. Although I can add music to the device, Windows 7 fails to show the files that are still on it. Because of the quirks and the possible incompatiblity, I wouldn't purchase another one.

This Player is rich in features, but my main purpose was to listen to audio books. It was EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to copy the audio files over so they would play IN ORDER.

There is NO WAY of using PLAYLISTS which is a Very Significant deficiency.

I ended up having to create and edit a batch file for the DOS command prompt that specified one file transfer at a time, with a "pause" command after each file transfer. That was the only way to copy the files over in the correct order. Drag and drop did not work. If I did not have years of experience in the computing field, I would not have been able to make this work, and I had to revert to DOS commands (ancient history).

This is a good mp3 player its very light weight, easy to carry, there are a lot of menu opitons, and it lets u pick your equalizer, you can also play your videos on there and put pics on there. I also think that having a recorder and a FM station is also a good thing on here...basically everything is good about it BUT BUT there is one PROBLEM..and that is the EARPHONES..I think that the ones that it came with is not loud enough..i highly recommend you buy your own earphones. At first i thought it was the mp3 sound itself which can possibly be half of the reason but i went to many stores try about four earphones and found one called sony extra base earphones and they are GREAT. So the earphones that came with it is horrible so buy your own..and yes you will have to come out some money for some good earphones but its well worth it. But its a great MP3 overall.

I don't recommend this MP3 player at all. I have to push the play really button hard over and over before the music will turn on. It tends to crackle with static at times. And the ear buds must have been made for a giant. I regret buying this one.

There is the old saying that: "you only get what you pay for", and this MP3 player fits that catagory perfectly. The unit is really small, and if you have big hands, its very easy to push the wrong button, or drop it. The player does all the things it is advertised to do. The only thing for me is the battery life. I need a player that I can take to work, and not worry about a dead battery for 8 hours, the battery life for this player is only about 4-5 hours, not good enough for what I need..
