Good value and very happy with the content.

Mayer's text on embalming is the standard textbook used in most all U.S. mortuary schools, as it is the one approved by the Funeral Service Education board.

Haven't read the whole book yet but, seem to show more insight than the Third edition but overall very satisfied .

I went to a professional embalmers conference this year and met the author and some of the contributors to chapters in the book. I was able to preview the book prior to purchase. I came away very impressed with the thought process that went into its compilation. This is probably the most complete treatise on the topic of embalming.

This book arrived very promptly and packaged well. The 5th Edition has more in depth information while clearly set out. My daughter looks forward to using her new text book for her chosen career. In NZ this text book is required for Diloma in Embalming classes. Good value and very happy with the content.

Mayer's text on embalming is the standard textbook used in most all U.S. mortuary schools, as it is the one approved by the Funeral Service Education board. It is easy to read and fairly concise from a technical standpoint. Some of the photos are a bit dated, but serve the purpose they attempt to illustrate. Again, the standard text for students, a good reference for practitioners and I guess a good book for the intellectually curious reader.
