Product Description
Chipotle peppers are a smoked red jalapeno peppers in spices, vinegar, tomato sauce and ancho chiles. A chipotle chile is a red jalapeno chile, ripened, dried, and smoked through a special process. Derived from the aztec word meaning smoke, jalapenos are placed over huge pits and smoke is blown through tunnels running underground. Chipotle characteristics a unique warm heat and Smokey flavor, chipotles are packed in a red adobo sauce made from a lightly seasoned tomato broth. Embasa chipotles are completely shielded from all the elements during processing to produce an exceptional product. Medium thick flesh, with a subtle deep rounded heat, they are excellent in sauces, soups, and as a seasoning for meats and stews.

I have not tried multiple brands of this item, but I do know that this item definitley fits the bill. The chipotles were very spicy (just like I like them) and smelled FANTASTIC. Plus, the cost to product ratio was very reasonable. Plus, with free shipping, this item was a lot easier to order through amazon then to have to keep going from store to store to find this item.

These are HOT! I like my food hot and spicy, but I wasn't expecting this much intensity when I first had these. The first time I cooked with them, I literally couldn't eat my soup because it was so hot lol. I've learned to use these (in moderation) in a lot of my dishes, and let me tell you, they are fantastic!

The first time I tried Embasa Chipotles, I was hooked by the smoky flavor, the slow-intense burn, the meaty peppers, and the thick sauce.
You can use them to spice up any dish, not just Mexican food. They go great with beef and chicken. Sliced or diced, they also make an exciting addition to salads (sauce strained).
I posted a pic of the 7-oz Embasa tin next to a regular 12-oz soda can for size comparison so that you know what to expect.

Great Peppers

This is really hot stuff.
