Good product, but I know why it is so inexpensive...,

Another update:
I just couldn't resist coming back for another update. It's not paper thin leather that holds the clips under the decorative buckles... it's cheap stuff that looks like leather and falls apart very quickly. Worse, I was about to have it repaired or repair it myself, but noticed that the straps for the buckles themselves are also about to fall off. They are cracking from underneath... they're not leather either. This attache case is falsely advertised as "leather". I'm not picky about leather... I wouldn't care what it was if it just held together. I am gentle with it, all I do is open and close it once or twice each business day. There is no way that this attache case will last more than 3 months under any normal usage. --------- 3 month update: I was wrong, this is low quality. Paper thin leather on the buckles fell apart. Avoid this product. --------- It is relatively inexpensive, real leather, no frills attache case... pretty much exactly as described. I now know why it's inexpensive. If you use the shoulder strap, you will find that the connectors attach to the case a little low and somewhat off-center... towards your body. This makes the case kind of crumple and fall outwards. You can counterbalance it by making more use of the deep inside pocket with heavier stiffer things and limiting use of the more convenient outside pockets. This is not to complain, just to explain why it is so inexpensive. I'm keeping it and all in all, it is a fair deal... and actually a great deal if you don't want to use shoulder strap.

Great buy,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've had this briefcase for about a month now. It's held up perfectly so far. The closure mechanisms are not buckles, but clips behind the buckles. It's been roomy enough to put a palm pilot, pens, and multiple files with papers. The leather looks great and it's very light. The shoulder strap is also comfortable. Assuming it contiues to hold up for a reasonable length of time, I'd buy this product again. One note: If you are looking to store a laptop in this briefcase, I'd think twice. It's not as large as most laptop briefcases and definately does not have adequate padding in my opinion. But for carrying documents, books and other items, it has met all my expectations.
