I ordered this for the obvious reason of hiding valuables in plain sight, it's definitely an awesome idea, however I received not one, but two defective clocks. I put batteries in both and tried setting them, but the hour hands had broke and would simply dangle on six. I would have still used them but i figured the wrong time would incite somebody to try and set the clock right, allowing them to discover the hidden valuables. But maybe im just unlucky.

THE HINGES BROKE THE FIRST WEEK I HAD IT. VERY POOR QUALITY. BIG AND BULKY, HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.

The first one was sent in a US postal shipping box , it had a broken back housing, i call the seller and asked them to send a replacement back. Very easy to replace. He said he would take care of it and in less than a week a entire new unit shows up. Its up, keeps time and is doing what it was designed for very well.

I got this as a gift for my dad, who's kinda paranoid about burglars taking his stuff. He seemed amused by the working clock and immediately threw a battery in to see it work. He said if he ever gets anything valuable, he'll put it in this safe, ha ha. The shelves were surprisingly roomy and, when hung on the wall, you can't tell it's anything but a clock. Very cool. If I ever get anything valuable, I'll get one of these clock safes for myself. Ha ha.

in theory this is awesome but the thickness of the clock kinda gives it away. also it doesn't click closed very well. I feel like its just going to fly open if the wind blows on it!!

I bought this clock based on the positive reviews, here are my 2 cents on it:

Pros:

- Due to the cheap look of it and the fact that the clock never worked once, it sure is not getting moved or stolen.

- Arrived on time

Cons

- Small compartment, not sure you can fit anything in there, that is worth securing.

- Clock not working.

Actually should take the time to return it but for the price its just too much trouble. Will still make an effort when the weather improves.

The clock arrived pretty quickly. When I opened the box, I was very disappointed. The clock is made poorly. The face of the clock is cardboard covered by plastic, and the cardboard had creases all over it. The minute, hour, and second hands were broken off and just floating around between the cardboard and plastic face. The battery compartment was broken off as well. The clock isn't slim or sleek; it's about 3 1/2" thick and sticks out like a sore thumb. The felt on the inside was cut badly, and was fraying and peeling. I know it was only $12, but it's not even worth that.

This clock is the best little novelty invention I have seen. It is perfect for hiding little things in that you don't want anyone knowing about. When we have little cash amounts in the house that we are saving for a rainy day and such, it's the best because I do not have to worry about visitors seeing money laying around etc. From the front, it looks like any other standard clock; I was expecting it to be a little bulkier considering its function but it literally looks like an el cheapo clock you would by from a store just to have for time on the wall. It's great and I recommend this specific item to anyone who has little items here or there that they don't want lying around. Who would think to look in the clock??? LOL.

I bought the wall clock with the hidden storage for the storage part and not the clock part but I must admit that the clock is superb as well. The clock requires 1 AA battery to run (I found an old battery that I thought was discharged - to my surprise it works and still runs. I am not sure whether this means that the clock doesn't require that much juice or I got lucky with a good battery, either way I enjoy my wall safe. By the way, no one has suspected that it has stuff hidden inside yet...

Exactly as pictured. Not high quality, not locking, thick enough to be noticeable. PERFECT for my 9yo son's room. He'd lose a key or combination, but he can put stuff in here and "hide" it. He loves it.
