3 of 3 people found the following review helpful By S. Sperber on April 26, 2006
Format: Hardcover
This book is a must for anybody who is interested in the Middle East debacle, particularly students, as myself, of Political Science. Dr. Rabil gives us a comprehensive History of the conflict affecting these three countries in a very easy language and impartiality, yet impeccably academic. Very easy to read. One can appreciate the research that went into this book. A lot of relevant information and bibliography. -

Format: Hardcover
I have recently moved to SE Florida where I have participated in a lecture series with Dr. Rabil. He is one of the most brilliant speakers I have ever encountered. His knowledge regarding the Middle East is remarkable. He must have a photographic memory to speak as he does with such clarity. As I read this book, I could almost hear him speak to his audience. If you have any interest in this area of study, this book is a classic. Add it to your own library.
