The GE 28311EE1 is a great addition to GE 28310EE1 skype phone. I use this phone now as my primary phone. The GE 28311EE1 eliminated the need to have a LAN line. These phones give you crystal clear communication, no echo like other phones, and the best part is that you no longer need to have PC connected. This has a box that connects directly to your router, you enter you skype account info and you are set. Please note that you need 28310EE1 to make this phone work properly, this is just an additional handset.
Highly recommend.

The speaker of this phone does not work well and the sound is not clear. Some time it takes time to reconize the numbers you dial, not really sure why. As for the skpe functions they worked great.

I purchased the base model new a few years ago and loved it! Just moved to a bigger place and want one in each room! All handsets work from one central access point that has a Ethernet and plain old telephone connection!

I bought three of these to replace DualPhones that I had bought previously. Very happy with them. Huge improvement on the DualPhones. Service from the vendor was excellent. Easy transaction and fast shipping. Thanks!

This unit was easy to integrate with the existing Thompson 28310 system I had going, showing up as handset 2. Actually, I purchased this because my original handset was acting up, and so far (approximately 8 weeks on), this handset has been working flawlessly. One issue is the battery level -- for some reason, it appears that I need to replace the batteries every three weeks or so and recharge them in an external charger, this despite letting the handset sit in its charger most of the day, every day. Overall, I would recommend this, but advise you to purchase extra batteries and an external charger with it.

Buyer beware: this phone stopped working after a month and Thomson refused to honor the warranty and replace the phone because it was purchased from Amazon.com. I am extremely dissatisfied.

The money I save calling family in Italy is UNREAL!!! How did I live without this phone before eludes me. If you have family in other countries or even here in the U.S. you can call them for free!!!

I have 2 sets of this Skype Phone. The first one I bought it 1 1/2 year ago and the second a 1/2 year ago. Both are working well, no complaints. I added one additional handset, I had some trouble adding it as Handset #2 but then it worked. The only problem was with the battery, I had to change it.

This phone was recommended to me for purchase because I wanted a Skype phone besides having Skype on my computer. I am very satisfied with the phone. My only complaint is that it rings 15 times before going to voicemail. I have not received one voicemail to date. It seems that the number of rings before going to voicemail cannot be changed on the phones as it can on the computer. I have e-mailed the company twice but they have not replied to my question regarding this situation.

I had already purchased the system that this headset goes with and the headset added itself automatically. All I had to do was to charge it. The sound on my end is always crystal clear although one cell phone user said that I was hard to hear. The problem could have been on their end. This is so far superior to my old handsfree skype phone that would sometimes echo. It took me a while to figure out how to transfer calls from phone to phone but it does work. It's not perfect yet but it is the only skype phone system that works off the hub, not your computer, so I don't lose service when there is a brief power outage or the computer goes off. I have now reduced my phone bill from $39 a month to $54 a year with unlimited USA and Canada calling. And if I ever have land lines again it works with them as well. An investment that was well worth it.
