5.0 out of 5 stars A "must read" for the impending digital economy
This is the first book I have found that lays all the documentation on the line concerning ubiquitous computing and the Internet. I found it to be a most interesting glimpse into the future of the Internet and the granular level of control that waits for us there. Are we headed for a digital economy? Is technology working for us, or slowly laying the groundwork for...

Just a note of clarification: the Wally Wood who wrote this book and did the paranoid video in 1999 about the Internet as Mark of the Beast is not the Wallace (Wally) Wood who was a renowned satirical cartoonist for Mad Magazine and many other publications, and who sadly took his life in 1981. This review is from: The Embedded Internet: The Final Evolution (Paperback)
All the adjunctive ads for Bud Plant graphic arts and other related products are for the *other* Wally Wood, the intentionally funny one, and are on this page by mistake.

This is the first book I have found that lays all the documentation on the line concerning ubiquitous computing and the Internet. I found it to be a most interesting glimpse into the future of the Internet and the granular level of control that waits for us there. Are we headed for a digital economy? Is technology working for us, or slowly laying the groundwork for invasion of privacy and loss of freedom? I strongly recommend this book if you're interested in these types of questions.
