She is currently a member of the Catholic Common Ground Initiative, the Advisory Board of the Public Religion Research Institute, the Board of Directors of the international journal Concilium and the Catholic Peacebuilding Network.

Margaret A. Farley is Gilbert L. Stark Professor of Christian Ethics at Yale Divinity School in New Haven, Connecticut. The recipient of eleven honorary degrees, the John Courtney Murray Award for Excellence in Theology, and a Luce Fellowship in Theology, Margaret Farley is a past president of the Society of Christian Ethics and the Catholic Theological Society of America.
