I use this chair at work and I have never, ever sat in a more comfortable chair. I have found that I am more productive, I can sit for a longer period of time and I am not stiff and sore when I get up from my desk after sitting for a long period. This chair is definitely worth the money - I am getting one for my husband for his home office. They have a tutorial on their Herman Miller site to adjust the chair to fit exactly to your body - so it fits like a "glove" and they are right!!! You will not be disappointed!

...all I can say is that my buying this chair was an excellent move.
I can summarise this review as follows: I spend hours upon hours at my desk (programming, surfing, goofing off, what have you) and I **never** feel "the need to get up and stretch" nor a hint of muscle fatigue from sitting for extended periods of time. This chair is surreal --- at first I was sure that the chair was "comfortable enough" (... but perhaps not worth the price?). However, its value is revealed over extended hours of use: the fact that I can sit and work without feeling "antsy" or any need to shift around is great. This chair supports (and yields) in all the right places. If your day consists of working at your desk for many hours, then this chair is a worthwhile personal investment (like, for example, a quality mattress). It's a one-time purchase one should consider seriously. You must try it in person (visit a local merchant to try it); however, an in-store experience cannot convey the long-term value of this product. I took a "leap of faith" and picked it up (based on reviews of the chair detailing its value over extended use). I am here to recommend taking a similar leap.

A MUST buy....,

I don't normally write reviews...in fact pretty much never. But for this chair, I had to make an exception. The "other" reviews that you read and find through searching the Internet are completely true. No hype-no gimmics-no lies. It is by far the best chair I have ever sat in. It is comfortable and high customizable. The quality seems to be top notch too. I'd be willing to bet it will last the 12 years of warranty. My only "complaints" are that it's so high customizable that you might find it difficult to find exactly which setting feels best. And trust me, if you are anything like me and you want to ensure you maximize your investment, you'll tweak those settings for hours--like I did--until you find it be just right. The only other slight issue I had was getting the seat height adjustment to work. It didn't want to at first. Probably because it had never been used and just needed a little TLC. Now it works just fine. Lastly, Herman Miller has videos and a "How to Guide" to help you best adjust your chair, but again, I'm sure you'll continue adjusting long after you watched and read them. You'll love it!
