A must for managers who want to 'do neat stuff',
By "seth_thong" (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Embracing Chaos (10450-a) (Audio Cassette)
Tom Peters, arguably the world's all time best selling business author, lays down the ways managers can make 'chaos' work for them. First, remove the words 'career' out of your vocubulary. Instead of climbing the corporate ladder, he suggests that everyone strive to 'do neat stuff': start project teams and think horizontally rather than vertically. He suggest that the structure at professional service firms like McKinsey & Co. and Arthur Andersen, will be how great companies will look like tomorrow.Watch out for the section in which he reveals how McKinsey & Co. deliver great value to their clients and earn obscene profits. A good and entertaining read.
