Editorial Reviews

Review

As a past leader of The Compassionate Friends, I see a need for an alternative approach to grief, as many bereaved are looking for bigger answers. Terri gently leads us into a not-much-talked-about approach - healing with meditation and connecting with a higher energy of love and peace. --Lisa Melaerts, past president, The Compassionate Friends, Las Vegas chapter

Terri's personal insight and detail present a possibility that death need not be a terror, but manageable, and in the best case, a friend, when it relieves one's own suffering or another's. Hers is an experience of truth-telling, and of hope in the valley of the shadow. --Roy Green, hospice chaplain

Format: Paperback
"Terri Daniel is an author, hospice worker, and intuitive spiritual counselor who teaches meditation, intuition development and after-death communication as tools for navigating the death, dying and grieving process." Her expertise comes, not from books and education, but from first-hand experience. In 2006 her teenage son died after enduring eight years of a degenerative disease and being lovingly cared for by his mom, Terri. Shortly after his passing he began telepathically communicating with her, providing messages about death and the afterlife, and guiding her to write her first book, a collection of his messages. Swan in Heaven was published in 2008, and since then Terri has been an advocate and spiritual counselor for those interested in the afterlife. Embracing Death offers sensible wisdom in rich detail for transforming our relationship with birth, death, and the afterlife, and reassures us that although we are individuated as human beings, we are never separate from each other in our multidimensional existence.

This is the most believable description of the afterlife that I have ever read, and I've read many. People believe what they want to believe, and Terri's book gives the reader a viable handle to latch on to.
