As Inevitable For All as Death And Taxes, January 20, 2006
This review is from: Embracing Death: Riding Life's Transitions into Power and Freedom (Paperback)
This is a very huge book in a small package that courageously tackles one of our major problems today: facing the fear of subjects like serious illness, tragic loss, and ultimately what we will all have to face (perhaps entirely alone) - Death itself. Western cultures, (especially American Western culture), has a history of avoiding this topic like the plague (or taxes perhaps). The book helps enormously particularly those in need of the transition-support to this difficult "place" NOW. For all the Baby Boomers out there - with beloved parent(s) in nursing homes, (just as one example): Isn't it about time that we all join the rest of the world and deal with the inevitable via all the pathways this author presents and explores for the benefit of the heartrending least and last? Bravo is all I have to say in closing for this valiant and original little book.
